Happy Fall, HMS! We have lots going on right now -- as we are gearing up for our highly anticipated grade level parties (don't forget to register your student at the below links)! We are still collecting PTO dues with a goal to reach at least 90% participation! We are also toying with the idea of hosting an HMS talent show, and we'd love to get your input. Please fill out this quick form so that we can gauge interest in this event.

Dues update: we are currently at 50% participation! Last year we hit our goal of 90% and the students received a special holiday treat at lunch. We'd love to do that again for them, so donate today! As a reminder, we ask for a suggested donation of $45 per family: Venmo @HMSPTO-1103 or drop cash or check made payable to HMS PTO to the main office), to help fund various events and activities throughout the year-- grade level event support, staff appreciation, cultural enrichment, mini grants...and more. Please put your child/children's names and grade levels in the notes.

We have our Halloween Treats and Thanksgiving Pie initiatives coming up quickly for staff appreciation. You can volunteer for any of the staff appreciation events throughout the year at the below link!

All are welcome at any or all of our upcoming PTO meetings -- save the dates: October 13, November 10, or December 8 at 10AM in the library. These meetings are a great way to stay engaged and involved at HMS, hear updates from Principal Smith and learn all things PTO.

Fall Grade Parties- Register Today!

GRADE 6

All Hingham Middle School 6th Grade Students are invited to attend an afternoon of fun and games at the 2026 6th Grade Fall Festival! Snacks, treats, inflatables, Live DJ, music, games and more on Friday, October 16th from 2-3:30PM, immediately following school. The HMS fields are transformed into an explosion of fun! Register your student below, and don't miss out on your chance to volunteer and be a part of the action!

GRADE 7

All Hingham Middle School 7th grade students are invited to an evening of Halloween fun on Friday, October 23rd from 7-8:30PM at Hingham Middle School. Join your friends for an evening of music, games, snacks and more. The Halloween Party is always full of surprises! This is an outdoor event so dress accordingly. Costumes encouraged and there will be prizes!

GRADE 8

All Hingham Middle School 8th Grade Students are invited to attend an evening to remember at the 2026 8th Grade Firepit Fest! A new take on an old tradition, your student(s) won’t want to miss this exciting event as they embark on their last year together at HMS. Firepits, live music, make your own s’mores, Henna tattoos, glow in the dark games, delicious treats and more...For one night only on the Festival Grounds of HMS from 7-8:30PM! This is an outdoor event so please dress accordingly.

Dues Campaign

Where is your donation going?

Our PTO runs one big fundraising campaign per year, and this is it! We heavily rely on these funds to help support our school in so many different capacities. We are currently at 50% participation with a goal of 90%!

We support grade level community building events, One Book, One School activities, our yearly cultural enrichment assembly, monthly staff appreciation events...and more. Last year we approved and sponsored 23 teacher mini-grants! This year, the PTO is excited to be sponsoring Rob Surette, a speed painter/inspirational performer who combines storytelling and painting with positive messages. He will be visiting HMS in November for assemblies in each grade.

We ask for a suggested donation of $45 per family (NOT per student). Venmo @HMSPTO-1103 or cash/check made out to HMS PTO and dropped in office. Please note your child/children's names and grade levels.
