Lower School News

Lower School Uniform Reminders:

Lower School OFFICIAL uniform is a light blue polo with logo (logo required for 1st-4th grade) and navy bottoms. For Skirts and jumpers they need to be solid navy, if the student is going to wear plaid it has to be the approved version from Lands End.

On non-official uniform days students may wear navy bottoms with either a light blue, white, or gray polo.

Picture Day

Picture Day will be on Wednesday September 9th. This will be the photo that is featured for your students photo on the yearbook! Make sure all students are wearing official uniform.

Middle School News

Windy Gap 6th-12th Parents

While we are off to a great start with sign ups, we still need more parents to help. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents, interact with our students, and experience the beautiful setting of Windy Gap in the Fall. This year's dates are October 19-21. Important: All members of the work crew are required to arrive and depart at the same time as students- we are not able to accomodate any partial stays.

Juniors and Seniors: Oakbrook will be offering the School Day ACT this fall!

-Test Date: October 27, 2026

-Registration Deadline: TOMORROW

-Cost: $53.00 (invoiced in September)

All Student Drivers

Upper School Student Drivers will receive their parking passes this week that will need to be displayed any time their vehicle is parked on campus. These passes will be collected at the end of each school year and reissued for the following year for returning students that drive. All student drivers must submit a Student Driving Car Information Form. 

College Guidance

Juniors and Seniors

Youth Philanthropy Board, an initiative of United Way of the Piedmont and Spartanburg Academic Movement (SAM), is currently accepting applications from rising high school juniors and seniors in Spartanburg County for the 2026-27 school year.

The Youth Philanthropy Board offers an enriching opportunity for students to:

- Learn about community indicators

- Develop critical thinking and leadership skills

- Connect with community leaders

- Gain hands-on experience in fund development and grant-making

- Participate in service

Throughout the school year, the board meets monthly to explore community issues and allocate funds through micro-grants to youth programs in our community. If you are a rising junior or senior who would thrive in this role, please complete the online application.

The application deadline is Friday, August 28, 2026.
