Think Before You Flush

Protect Broomfield’s sewer and other water systems. Don’t flush these items down the toilet. They should be disposed of in trash bins:

  • Towels and rags
  • Wipes (including baby and disinfectant wipes, even if they say “flushable”)
  • Disposable gloves
  • Women’s sanitary products

These items do not break down in water, resulting in home plumbing system blockages, sewer back-ups and damage to pumps and screens in the water system. Learn more about what you can do to protect Broomfield’s water at Broomfield.org/ProtectWaterSystem

Motor Vehicle Office Closure

The Broomfield Motor Vehicle Office will be closed Sept. 15-19 to complete a customer-focused remodel of the office space and conduct staff training on new state-mandated DMV software. The office will reopen with a new service model on Monday, Sept. 22 with updated hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Broomfield residents can book an appointment for more expedited service or use online services for renewals and many transactions.
