Broadway Bridge Celebration & Kiosk Proposals Welcome
Please join us on March 4 at 5PM for the Broadway Bridge Ribbon Cutting. The event's program will include insights from Village Historian Dana White and local environmental scientist Gareth Hougham, as well as a presentation of a bowl carved by a local artist from a Sing Sing Kill tree. The final touches on the the Broadway Bridge rehabilitation are happening this month. Ossining's iconic double arch serves as much more than a valuable connection across the village. The Sing Sing Kill Greenway began as an infrastructure project whose purpose was to protect the Hudson River from contamination by encasing in concrete the sanitary sewer line that runs through this tributary. Modest upgrades transformed the project to become a greenway, with a vision to eventually connect pedestrians all the way to Water Street from downtown. The rehabilitation of the Broadway Bridge is the latest contribution to this iconic centerpiece of our village. It is an engineering feat that incorporates the technology of today with the preservation of this historic bridge.

Last week's legislative session included an announcement that the Village is seeking applicants to sell concessions in the kiosk at Henry Gourdine Park at the waterfront. Work sessions are forums when the Village Board meets with staff and experts to become informed on potential action to be taken, and generally is not open for public comment. However, the public is invited to attend in person or to watch the meeting on television,  the village website , or  YouTube .
