Outdoor Fall Movie Night 10/23

Grab a blanket and settle in under the stars for South PTO’s Annual Fall Movie Night on Friday, October 23. Enjoy a wonderful evening of fun for the whole family! Each child's $5 movie pass will include not only entry to watch the newly released Toy Story 5, but also the sweet sounds of DJ Daddio mixing your favorite tunes, face painting, fall craft tables, temporary tattoo stations, glow sticks, bubbles and, of course, what's a movie night without popcorn?! ...and adult tickets will also include all of the above... hey, face painting is for all ages, right!? (flashback to last year's Spring Fling where the students got in on the face painting fun...and some parents too!)

Make sure to purchase your tickets before the night of the event to be entered to win a FREE cup of Kona Ice! P.S. Additional CA$H purchases can be made for pizza, food trucks (including Pablo's Tacos), drinks, NEW South School merch and, of course, Tiger Tickets! South PTO Needs Your Help

Our Annual Fall Movie Night is always so much fun, but this event is only made possible with the help of our amazing South parents. We are in need of volunteers to sign up to help, even if only for an hour.

Please take a look at the available slots & feel free to sign up for more than one shift. 😉

What Time Is It? It's Tiger Tickets Time!

Tiger Tickets are officially on the move and we're already seeing SO much awesome class participation across the board! As of last night (10/6 @ 9pm), we have raised $2,800. WOW! That's such a fantastic start! In 1st Place is Ridley's kindergarten class with 76 Tiger Tickets sold, followed by Horsman's 3rd grade class in 2nd place with 52 tickets and in 3rd place, Sheehy's 3rd grade class with 47 sales. And the tickets keep coming in!



If you haven't yet, please take a look at the envelope that went home in each child's backpack this past Monday. Along with the helpful info on all things Tiger Tickets, we also distributed South School light up bracelets to kick off the fun... the F1RST of many more exciting South School themed prizes that entire classrooms will be awarded each time they reach fundraising goals. One class has already earned the next prize, 2 South School pins, which will be handed out on the first class distribution day on Friday 10/16.

It's still early and the race has only just begun! Any class can take over the lead. Which class will win the grand prize of a pizza party!? HELP! We are looking for 2 parent volunteers to come into South School and help distribute Tiger Ticket prizes to classrooms on the following Fridays during the course of Tiger Ticket sales:

• 1st Class Prize Distribution Day: Fri., 10/6
• 2nd Class Prize Distribution Day: Fri., 10/30
• FINAL Class Prize Distribution Day: Fri., 11/13

Help South Win the Pumpkin Cup

The Andover Coalition for Education (ACE) Pumpkin Patch is back and for every $10 donation, ACE will plant 1 pumpkin at our South School pumpkin patch. The Andover elementary school with the largest patch will be crowned champion, earn bragging rights & have its name engraved on the Pumpkin Cup. Let’s show our South School spirit & bring home the big prize this year—if even half of our families participate, we have a real shot at winning! Visit www.aceandover.org to donate, be sure to include "South Elementary School" in the comment section so your pumpkin counts toward our patch. Special thanks to our PTO representatives Lexi Soll & Sam DeMagistris for your help this year. You both will officially be able to add "pumpkin patch planter" to your skill set.

Families can choose their notification preferences or opt out of registering for a ParentSquare account; even without an account.

To opt out or update your notification preferences:

• Go to parentsquare.com
• Select "Sign In" on the top right hand corner of the site
• Choose "Register" & type in the email you provided to South School
• Go to your inbox to find email from ParentSquare & click "Activate Your Account"
• Return to ParentSquare site to login & create password
• Click the top right corner of screen where you see your name
• Click "Manage" account
• On left side, select "Notification Settings"
• Then feel free to update the option preferences however you see fit
