CWIP Members,
As we enter 2023, we also approach CWIP’s 42nd year. We are excited about what is ahead in the new year as we seek to build on the incredible work that has enabled our growth and shaped who we are as an organization over the last four decades. In the coming year we will use that legacy for good, as the entire sector continues to feel the impacts of the three preceding years.
We’ve lived through strife and division, illness and isolation, and serious racial reckoning in simultaneous waves. It’s been a time for reflection, personal and professional development, and most importantly, self-care. It has taken a toll on all of us. We have been amazed by the continuous power and comfort we all seek within this membership.
When we thought we may need to step back, you asked us to lean in. We heard loud and clear that as the world shifts and changes around us, this community always feels like a safe place to land. We are honored to step into the co-chair roles at this moment and are committed to keeping the lessons of the times brightly before us.
We’re so inspired by our fellow board members and committee leaders and members. We have no doubt that our mighty group of a few hundred women will change our city for the better and bring it closer to its best-realized self: equitable, inclusive, and connected. This newsletter (a new creation of our Communications Committee) highlights the important work happening all across the CWIP committees. Dive in and learn more. Join us for upcoming programs. Don’t miss the Luncheon on March 7 honoring Liz Thompson.
Every time you join a CWIP event or activity you’ll be rewarded by finding yourself in the best possible company: hopeful and dedicated women.
Sincerely,
Lindsey Moorman and Clare Butterfield, Board Co-Chairs
