May 23, 2026

DERBY, MORGAN, and HOLLAND, VERMONT: The Dandies are coming to the World-Famous Dandelion Fields of Derby, Morgan and Holland and so are some of our favorite musical friends. The 18th Annual Dandelion Run will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Over 150 runners, bikers, and hikers are already signed up. A great mix of locals and visitors from all over Vermont, New England and as far away as Kentucky and Vancouver.

This year, we are inviting the non-running and non-biking public to come on out and listen to some great music being played along the roadside. Starting at 9 am, Bob Dunn and the Hogeye Men String Band will be playing at the corner of Route 111 and Dumas. Patti Casey and Tom MacKenzie will be playing at the corner of Dumas and Hayward Hollow. Bonnie Tucker will be fiddling at the 10 km Turnaround on Dumas Road. Starting around 9:30 am Ron Horton and Friends will be playing at the corner of Bates Hill and Gore Road. Don Houghton and his side kick, Ned, will be playing under the BIG tree at the Nadeau Farm on Bates Hill Road. Bring your lawn chairs and sit for a while. Enjoy the music and the Dandelion Fields.

Last year we added a full marathon biking event through the Highlands of Holland. It was so successful that we are adding a full marathon running event this year, with eight brave souls already committed to taking on the challenge, including 20-year-old, Thankful Cilwik of Derby, VT and Sean Meissner of the Upper Valley Running Club.

If you are a runner or a biker or a hiker who hasn't signed up yet, there's still time to join us.

Online registration remains open through May 20, 2026

Today, the sun rises a little higher. The days grow a little longer. The Dandelion Fields of Derby, Morgan, and Holland are trumpeting High Spring in the Kingdom. And the mostly dirt roads we run and ride will have shed their mud.

We Run, Bike, and Hike. Just for the Fun of It. (And a little bit of Brault's Beef Jerky and Couture's Maple Syrup) We celebrate The Dandelion - a Glorious Free-Range Flower. We gather In Memory and in Honor of Terri Weed. A portion of all adult registration fees are donated to Umbrella and its advocacy and support of victims of domestic and interpersonal violence.

We thank Community National Bank, now celebrating 175 years of serving our community. They have been Underwriting Sponsors of the Dandy for many years now. They staff the somewhat chaotic table at the corner of Hayward Hollow and Dumas, and they serve us with morning coffee and scrumptious Jed's Maple Donuts before the start of the race. We are truly grateful for their support.
