FALL FEST FUN AT THE JAPONICA CAMPUS

Our annual Japonica Campus Fall Fest was a wonderful evening filled with fun, laughter, and Wildcat spirit! We loved seeing families from both campuses come together to enjoy a night of fellowship and make special memories!

The Trunk or Treat was a huge hit, with incredibly creative and festive trunk decorations that made the evening even more exciting for our little Wildcats! From the decorated trunks to the smiling faces, it was a night to remember!

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who participated, decorated a trunk, and helped make this event so special. We are especially grateful to our amazing Fall Fest volunteers, whose time, hard work, and dedication made it all possible!

There's nothing better than seeing our Wildcat family come together!

FROM ST. LUKE'S TO MEDICAL SCHOOL:

ALUMNUS INSPIRES FUTURE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS

It's always special when our Wildcats return to share their experiences and inspire the next generation!

St. Luke's alumnus Mohammed Shahrouj ’22, currently a first-year medical student (M1) at the University of South Alabama, recently visited with our Interventions in Biomedical Sciences students

to share his journey to medical school.

Mohammed discussed his undergraduate experience, the hard work and dedication required to become a medical student, and the medical school application process. He also gave students a firsthand look at a typical day for an M1 student, offering valuable insight into the challenges and rewards of pursuing a career in medicine.

We love seeing our alumni accomplish their goals and return to encourage the Wildcats following in their footsteps!

Thank you, Mohammed, for sharing your journey and inspiring our future healthcare professionals!

CELEBRATING OUR SENIORS!

Last week, we celebrated our amazing seniors with our annual Senior Night Pep Rally! Before the football game, we recognized and celebrated our Azalea Trail Maid seniors, football seniors,

and cross-country seniors!

Senior Night is always a special time to honor our students and celebrate the memories, friendships, and contributions they've made throughout their years at St. Luke's.

We are so proud of our Class of 2027 and can't wait to see all the wonderful things ahead for them!

RUNNING BUDDIES: VARSITY WILDCATS VISIT JAPONICA

Some of our St. Luke’s Varsity Cross Country runners recently traded their usual training routes for a special visit to the Japonica Campus, where they joined our younger Wildcats for some fun in PE!

Coach Russell and his athletes talked with the students about the joy of running, what it takes to become a good runner, and the importance of hard work and perseverance. Then, they hit the ground running together! Our varsity athletes ran alongside the younger students, cheering them on and encouraging them every step of the way!

The smiles said it all! Our younger Wildcats LOVED spending time with the older students, and they're already asking when they can come back!

What a special example of the connections that make St. Luke's such a wonderful place, where Wildcats of all ages learn from, encourage, and inspire one another!

JAPONICA WILDCATS ROCK OUT IN MUSIC CLASS

Our Japonica Campus music students got to rock out this week as they explored the exciting world of percussion! Mr. D introduced students to the different parts of a drum set, including the snare drum, bass drum, toms, and cymbals. The best part? Every student had the opportunity to sit behind a real drum set and try it out for themselves!

What a fun, hands-on way to explore rhythm, discover new instruments, and make music!

Keep rocking, Wildcats!

10th GRADE ENGLISH STUDENTS ENJOY A THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE

Mrs. Steiner’s 10th-grade English classes recently took their learning beyond the classroom with a visit to Playhouse in the Park to see a theatrical adaptation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde!

Students got to experience literature brought to life on stage, adding a new perspective to the classic story. As an unexpected bonus, they were also treated to an impromptu magic show by Bryan Drake!

What a fun way to combine literature, theatre, and a little magic!

BEYOND THE CLASSROOM:

BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES MEETS SPORTS MEDICINE

At St. Luke's, learning extends far beyond the classroom! Our Biomedical Sciences student, Lauren Watson, recently gained valuable real-world experience by shadowing Trainer Dave

during a varsity football game.

Lauren, who is interested in pursuing a career in athletic training, had the opportunity to see firsthand how sports medicine professionals care for student-athletes and respond to their needs on the sidelines.

Trainer Dave is also mentoring Alyssa Brown, a University of Mobile student, throughout the fall semester, providing another opportunity for hands-on learning and professional development in the

field of sports medicine.

We're also grateful for Dr. Rippey, our team physician, who provides medical coverage during varsity football games and helps ensure our Wildcats receive excellent care.

Experiences like these highlight the meaningful connections between our Biomedical Sciences Program, athletics, and healthcare professionals, giving students opportunities to explore potential careers while learning directly from those working in the field.

A SHOUT-OUT FOR MAKING GREAT CHOICES

We love celebrating our Wildcats for doing great things on the Japonica Campus!

Students who are spotted making good choices, showing kindness, demonstrating respect, or going out of their way to help a student or adult may earn a special Wildcat Shout-Out!

During Chapel, Mrs. Wallace recognizes these students and gives each one a Shout-Out card to take home and proudly share with their families.

It’s one more way we can celebrate the everyday choices that make our school community such a special place. Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness and character can make the BIGGEST difference!

Keep it up, Wildcats - you never know when YOU might earn the next Shout-Out!
