Thomas Russell Middle School 7th grader Sid Shivnath was honored by the Board of Education and District leadership for winning gold and setting a new California State Record in Skewb while competing at the World Cube Association competition.

Milpitas HS Librarian Mia Gittlen was recognized by the MUSD Board of Education and District leadership for re-imagining and enhancing the Milpitas HS library by engaging our students with a multitude of events and activities inside the library.

AP Ryan Startz named interim principal at Rose Elementary


Current Rose Elementary School Assistant Principal Ryan Startz was selected as the school's Interim Principal beginning in the 2025-26 school year.

Celena White announced as assistant principal at Milpitas HS


Administrator Celena White was chosen as the Milpitas High School's Assistant Principal beginning in the 2025-26 school year. She joins MUSD via Independence High School.

MUSD confirms new after school programming provider

After engaging in an open Request for Proposal process, MUSD agreed on the Think Together program to provide after-school programming with ELO-P and ASES funds to enhance the educational experience. The after-school program includes inter-sessional expanded learning opportunities through homework support, character development, and literacy enrichment to extend learning beyond the school day while providing a safe environment for our TK-6th grade students.

STEAM Report showcases milestones, plan for future

MUSD's Learning & Development team provided an update on the development of STEAM milestones from TK-16. This supports strategic priority: develop educational pathways that allow students to apply their passion in learning for their future careers.
