Allegan, MI - The Allegan County Food Pantry Collaborative (ACFPC), a program of the Allegan County Community Foundation, is thrilled to host another county-wide Peanut Butter Drive. The food drive will run through the end of February. This initiative aims to collect peanut butter donations to help the ACFPC partnering pantries to provide shelf-stable protein to families in need across the county.
Why peanut butter? This pantry staple is a great source of nutrition, offering essential protein and healthy fats, and it’s a favorite among kids and adults alike. However, it’s often one of the most-requested and least-donated items at food banks.
“We’re calling on our Allegan County community to help us spread the love again this year,” said Lauren Hunt-VanderPloeg, Community Impact Officer at the Allegan County Community Foundation. “With just one jar of peanut butter, you can make an impact. Together, we can help combat hunger in our community.”
Ways to Participate:
-
Donate online at alleganfoundation.org
-
Mail a check made out to ACCF to 112 Locust St, Allegan, MI 49010 with “Peanut Butter” written in the memo line
-
Donate jars to one of 80+ drop sites across the county
Monetary donations made to ACCF will be leveraged to bulk purchase peanut butter and other protein items for the participating ACFPC members. Jars of peanut butter donated directly to drop sites will be collected by local pantries and distributed to clients.
The Peanut Butter Drive is a part of the ACFPC's ongoing commitment to supporting local families and strengthening community ties. Whether you donate one jar or several, every contribution counts. Together we can SPREAD THE LOVE!
