Combo National Championship Recap
Last weekend, City Finals winners from our combo league represented Georgia in this year’s National Championship held in Las Vegas, Nevada! What a weekend it was!🤩
First up, team Tsunami Serves🌊 in the 18+ | 3.5 division of play - they made sure to come back to Georgia with some hardware!🥈 What a group! Always with the comeback, steady and consistent with a huge support group behind them at all times! Congratulations, team! We are very proud of your achievements!💪🏽 And their medal celebration says it all, don’t you think? (go dawgs)!
Next up, team Sugar Hill Poachers in the 18+ | 4.0 division of play - small but mighty group! Very determined from the get go, always with a smile & ready to compete at their best no matter what! They made playoffs and gave it their all on the courts! Very excited to see what comes next for this group!🔥
One thing stood out for us that is the core of our league - the COMMUNITY!🥹 Both teams had a support system behind them: captains, teammates, parents, significant others, sons and daughters, friends, friends of friends…you name it and we had it🥳 We want to thank @tripleteampickleballleague for running such a smooth tournament and allowing us to be part of this incredible community! We also want to acknowledge the great sportsmanship and competitive spirit of all the other participating states!
It was a fantastic weekend and we cannot wait to do it again in Mesa, Arizona in November for the gender divisions. Team Somerset Smash Sisters will represent Georgia in the women 18+ | 3.5 division of play! Let’s go ladies!!🔥💪🏽
