Ancient Cosmetics

Ancient Cosmetics is a Black family-owned business started after years of frustration with harsh chemical-based products sold in our communities. After doing their due diligence by researching natural oils and herbs from ancient times to the present, the team began vigorously working on creating natural products for individuals with sensitive skin. Ancient Cosmetics offers an all-natural vegan beauty line. All products are specially handmade by the staff. This group of millennials turned an idea and a dream into a seven-figure company. Visit the website to learn more about them and make your first order.

When Dr. Frederick D. Haynes III, of Friendship-West Baptist Church, announced 100 Days of Buying Black in acknowledging the 100th Commemoration of the Tulsa Race Massacre, a year ago, we joined the movement. December 31, 2021, marked 100 days of featuring Black Businesses, and we decided that the struggle continues and we must also. So enjoy reading about more Black-owned businesses and please support. We're still going strong today and we received recognition from the National Newspaper Publishers Association for our efforts!

MY TRUTH:

Yes, I am saying it again!

This is another remix but I needed to look back in order to move forward.

Everyone can’t vote. Which brings me to

my truth!

Just because you don’t have a voter registration card does not mean you can’t work campaigns and the polls, or partic- ipate in voter education programs. You can also donate money!

DAILY REMEMBRANCE:

Not able to really grasp on to life without you, I HOLD on to memories.

They flash before me and bring a smile to a broken heart.

I find them everywhere. When I close my eyes, they are there.

When I open a drawer, something that you once held holds me.

It holds my mind open when I want to close up and vanish.

It holds my heart together even though it is broken. I'm deafened by sadness

and yet, the sound of memories awaken me.

I'm sad, but memories make me happy.

I'm lost, but through memories, I'm finding both of us again.

One-on-One
