Dear Friend,
Childcare is one of the biggest expenses facing working families, and while Republicans successfully modernized key childcare tax credits for the first time since 2001, more work remains.
This week I worked across the aisle to introduce a bill that would update and strengthen the federal government’s primary childcare program for the first time in over a decade.
In this bill, we are ensuring parents, providers, and employers have a seat at the table when states develop childcare plans so solutions reflect the needs of Iowa’s local communities.
And especially while working families are struggling to find childcare that fits their family and budget needs, parents need more options. My bipartisan bill will expand access to affordable, quality childcare for Iowa families.
Families deserve policies that make it easier to work, raise children, and build a better future, and I'll keep fighting to deliver them.
