Easter Hop—Where Our Core Values Meet Resurrection Joy:

A Note from Liz Vasquez

Dear St. Lukers,

How is your Lenten journey going? Have you been walking intentionally through this season, or has life pulled you in other directions? If you haven’t engaged as much as you hoped—don’t worry, it’s never too late to jump in. The wilderness is a hard place to be, but it prepares us for what’s to come. And what’s coming is the joy of resurrection!

As we look ahead to Easter, we have a special opportunity this weekend (Saturday, April 5) to live out our faith through Easter Hop! More than just a fun event, Easter Hop is a chance to welcome our community and share the heart of St. Luke’s. Families will not only enjoy games, crafts, and activities, but they’ll also get to see our Christ-centered core values of acceptance, hospitality, and community in action. They’ll learn about some of our ministry areas, including the incredible work of our Missions team, who are constantly finding ways to help those in need.

One of the most exciting parts of Easter Hop is...

Women’s History Trivia Night Brought Joy & Knowledge

What a night! A fantastic group of ladies had a blast at our Women's History Trivia Night last month, testing their knowledge on everything from women’s voting rights to Disney princesses. Laughter, learning, and a little friendly competition made for an unforgettable evening!

Thank you to everyone who joined—we hope to see you at the next event!

Packing Trucks and Changing Lives with Habitat for Humanity

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to support West Orange Habitat for Humanity at the Do it Best Trade Show!

Our team helped collect and package tools, home goods, and more—filling 10 semis with donations for the Habitat ReStore! These incredible contributions will go directly toward funding the construction of this year’s Habitat homes, providing families with safe and stable housing. Thank you for being a part of this meaningful work and helping to build a brighter future for our neighbors.

Building Authentic Community in Christ

Our Men's Ministry came together last month for a great breakfast and a powerful conversation on building intentional community. St. Luker Wes Catlett-Miller challenged us to move beyond surface-level connections and invest in authentic relationships rooted in trust and purpose.

Reflecting on Philippians 2:4-9, they explored how Jesus models a community of humility, service, and self-giving love. The discussion reminded us that real community takes intentionality—showing up, listening, and supporting one another.

If you missed it, we’d love to see you on April 24 for our next breakfast event as we continue growing together! Visit st.lukes.org/breakfast to RSVP.
