Our Advisory Council has raised over $3,000.00 Team Puglisi led the way, what a powerhouse! We want to salute these superheroes . They obviously were not alone for we have raised over $35,000. Congratulate Deb Henderson
Our New Autism Waiver Supervisor
As we plan for the future here at the Center, we need to have in place someone who can pick up the duties of the Autism Waiver Supervisor as Kris Cariglia becomes the Director in June when Sue Loring will retire. We are committed to having a seamless transition because our families have been through enough trauma and difficulties this year with Covid 19.
Deb joined the Center in April 2018 as an Autism Waiver Support Broker and in that role she has consistently demonstrated her capability to locate, and provide what her families need and her understanding of the waiver's regulations. She genuinely cares about the families she serves and goes above and beyond to support them.
She holds a bachelors in neuroscience and behavioral biology with a minor in sociology from Emory University. Deb worked as a direct support in ABA during college, while also volunteering at a local Boys and Girls club tutoring local children in Atlanta. Deb served as a mentor for teens of alcoholic parents for five years. She volunteered with a program, Building Dreams, mentoring children of parents who were currently or had been incarcerated and Meals on Wheels, delivering meals to those in need. Deb currently serves as a court appointed special advocate (CASA) for children in foster care where she advocates for them and provides emotional support as their cases move through the court process.
Join us in congratulating Deb on her new role at the Center, having her in this position will allow Kris to step back from that role as she fully assumes the duties of Director.

Words up to Ponder
from individuals in the Autism Community.

"I cannot speak. For whatever reason God has intended for me
to be mute. Many people might believe that I cannot think, but despite their thinking I can. What’s more is that I listen. "
