Arcs in Action

Cleveland Cavaliers Take Over Adrian Elementary School!

Adrian Elementary School hosted an exciting assembly with the Cleveland Cavaliers! Coaches from Cavs Academy led students through fun basketball drills and contests, giving many the chance to jump in on the action and get moving. Students showed off their dribbling and shooting skills while working together and competing as teams — and everyone walked away with some Cavs swag!

Even the staff got in on the fun, facing off against students in a nail-biting contest. Despite Mr. Lasky’s best efforts to give the students an edge, the staff clinched the final bucket for the win — and the bragging rights that came with it!

South Euclid Lyndhurst Schools is grateful for our partnerships with local sports franchises that bring these exciting experiences to our students. Go Cavs!

SECA Assessment

As a reminder, students in Grades 5-12 will take the Social, Emotional, and Cultural Assessment (SECA) through Branching Minds.

This assessment includes 40 student-facing questions and provides insight into emotions, relationships, and overall well-being. SECA measures eight key social-emotional skills: self-awareness of strengths and weaknesses, self-awareness of emotions, self-management of emotions, self-management of goals, self-management of schoolwork, relationship skills, social awareness, and responsible decision-making. For questions regarding this assessment, please email bussey@selschools.org or contact the Student Services Office at 216-691-2020.
