Dear Friends,

I know right now many of us are still in a difficult place. I want you to know we are with you. It's difficult to put into words what our watershed, and beyond, is dealing with, but as we cope with the destruction, be reminded of the great strength and resilience we share. We will get through this together.

If you are affected by this disaster, know that there are significant local, State and Federal resources being brought to bear and the NRC team will continue to work so that State and Federal agencies do not lose focus on our region. If you are in a place you can help, please consider a donation to a disaster relief organization. I've chosen to support the American Red Cross for their ability to act at the scale this disaster needs.

Please continue to check our social media stories where we are sharing additional information on organizations providing relief throughout the watershed.

The time will come to rebuild our river, but right now we need to focus on supporting the organizations that can help with rescue and recovery. Take great care my friends, you are not alone and a brighter day is ahead.

With love and support,

Andrew Downs and the New River Conservancy.
