2024 Fall Campaign

DAY 10

Hello 40 Days for Life Supporters

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, convince, rebuke, and exhort, be unfailing in patience and in teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own likings, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander into myths. 2 Timothy 4:1-4

40 Days for Life Local Update

SAVE at Preterm!

Bedford Heights - Cleveland - Painesville

Please help to fill the sidewalks at our three sites from 7 am to 7 pm! The life or death of preborn children are at stake! Every child conceived is made in the image and likeness of God, has an immortal soul, a guardian angel to protect and minister to them, and a specific vocation and purpose in which to serve God. Let us pray with an expectant faith for the conversion of mothers seeking an abortion, for the healing of families suffering the trauma of abortion, and for the graces of repentance and conversion for the abortion providers. Please include prayers for our country in reparation for the sin of abortion.

There are several pro-life events this weekend in which you can participate with other pro-lifers - Day of Mourning at Preterm on Saturday afternoon and several Life Chain's on Sunday. See the details of these events in this email below.

I also received a report from Fred of a SAVED BABY this past Wednesday afternoon at Preterm!

Sidewalk Safety Tips!

Commandments of Safety!

There has been 31 campaigns conducted since 2009, when 40 DFL began in Cleveland and Painesville and Bedford Heights. There has been only a few incidents during the thousands of hours logged at our three vigil sites. We are in turbulent times and by following a few safety tips and the 40 Days for Life Commandments of Safety will ensure your safety on the sidewalks.

1) Constantly be aware of what is happening around you and do not get caught up in idle talk which may prevent you from seeing changes in your surroundings.

2) Have your cell phone ready to video-tape. Practice video-taping so when the time comes you are not fumbling around and you are able to get a good video. Also, do not narrate the incident, simply video-tape.

3) If someone grabs your sign - DO NOT fight or wrestle with someone over a sign which can be replaced.

4) If someone throws something suspicious near you - DO NOT touch it - Call 911.

5) Use common sense. It is less likely someone would do anything if there are two or more praying...bring a friend. If a stranger offers you food/drink...politely decline. You are NOT obligated to speak with passerby. A pro-abort person could bait you into a discussion which can escalate. If you are approached by media, ask for a business card, but you do NOT have to agree to an interview. You can simply say you are here to save lives, pray, and help pregnant mothers. Then refer them to me.

6) Read the Commandments of Safety below and add my phone number to your contacts so you can inform me of ANY incident!
