Clubhouse Reservation Update

Our Board recently updated the rules for reserving the Sincuidados Clubhouse for private parties. This update emphasizes that the Clubhouse is intended solely for personal and private use, and not for any commercial or business activities. This ensures that the space remains a community resource for residents to enjoy their personal celebrations and gatherings.

Please note, as part of the new policy, all activities must be confined to the Clubhouse and its parking lot, with an option to include the BBQ area upon request. The updated rules also stipulate that the Clubhouse must be vacated by 10 p.m., and loud music or outside speakers are prohibited, to avoid disturbing neighboring residents.

For those who love tennis and pickleball, the courts will remain open to all residents during these private events.

To reserve the Clubhouse, residents must complete a reservation form that is available on the Sincuidados website (https://sincuidados.org/reservations/) under the Resources menu for Reservations.

Other than what has been mentioned above, the following additional rules apply:

  • Full use of the kitchen facilities is included, but you must bring your own equipment.
  • Notify City Property Management (CPM) in advance if valet parking is required. All guests/valet parkers must use guest parking only, and valet insurance is required.
  • The resident responsible for the party must be present during the event and is accountable for guest behavior.
  • Alcohol may not be consumed by anyone under the age of 21. The responsible resident is legally accountable for any violations.
  • A refundable deposit of $250 is required to confirm the reservation. This will be returned after the Clubhouse is inspected and found to be clean and undamaged.

To confirm your booking, please submit the reservation form with a check deposit. Remember, the goal is to have a smooth and enjoyable experience while respecting all residents in our community.

Save the S N A K E S

A resident has suggested we can all use some understanding and education about the importance of protecting/not killing snakes. While it’s understandable that people have strong feelings about these creatures, everyone must recognize the role snakes play in the Sincuidados ecosystem.

Common myths often hinder a positive attitude toward snakes.

  • Not All Snakes are Dangerous: Most snakes in our area are non-venomous and pose no threat to humans.
  • Snakes are Not Aggressive: Snakes do not seek out human interaction and will typically avoid confrontation. They will only bite if they feel threatened or cornered.

Snakes play a vital role in our environment and offer many benefits.

  • Natural Pest Control: Snakes are excellent at controlling the population of pests such as packrats, which can cause significant damage to homes and properties. By keeping the packrat population in check, snakes help prevent the spread of disease and reduce property damage.
  • Ecosystem Balance: Snakes are an integral part of the food chain. They not only control rodent populations but also serve as prey for other wildlife, maintaining the natural balance in our environment.

While we coexist with snakes, safety must be a priority.

  • Awareness: Be aware of your surroundings, especially in areas where snakes are commonly found, such as tall growth or under debris.
  • Proper Handling: If you encounter a snake, it's best to leave it alone. Most snakes will move away if not threatened. If necessary, contact a professional wildlife removal service to safely relocate the snake.
  • Preventative Measures: To minimize snake encounters, remove potential hiding spots such as piles of rocks. Securely close garbage bins to avoid attracting rodents, which in turn attract snakes.

While it's natural to feel uneasy about snakes, allowing snakes to thrive translates into a healthy desert environment.

Landscape Alert

In the spring of 2023, our HOA Board approved a project to revitalize and upgrade the landscaping at the Pima gate entrance. This initiative has been a tremendous success, garnering numerous compliments from residents and visitors.

The refreshed entrance has not only boosted the aesthetic appeal of our neighborhood but has also highlighted our shared dedication to maintaining a beautiful and inviting environment for everyone.

The next phase of this beautification project will focus on enhancing the look of roadway islands. Starting June 27, work will begin to refurbish the first five of our 27 islands. Given that these islands lack a water source for irrigation, the plan will incorporate plants and cacti capable of surviving on natural rainwater.

This project is anticipated to take 2-3 years to complete. Desert Foothills Landscape will be executing the improvements, and residents should be aware that workmen will be present in the area. The HOA Board appreciates your patience and cooperation as we continue to elevate the beauty of our community.
