Recently, I received an inquiry about Elevator Speech Training. After I sent the price overview, I got this response:

"We're working at a scrappy nonprofit startup, so unfortunately, your services are outside of our budget at this time."

In response I offered them a pro bono session because I believe that effective communication is essential for everyone—especially those doing important work with limited resources.

This exchange made me realize I should formalize something I've been doing informally for years.
