With Heartfelt Thanks

Dear Friends,

I’m filled with gratitude as I reflect on the incredible impact of the 2025 Footprints on Our Hearts Walk/5K. It was not only a beautiful day, as we gathered at Hubbard Park, but we also reached a record number of participants, with nearly 700 members of our community joining us in person and virtually. It was a day of deep connection, remembrance, and healing.

Thanks to your generosity and support, we raised almost $105,000—funds that directly sustain and grow our programs for families grieving pregnancy and infant loss. Because of you, we’re able to offer weekly support groups, train compassionate facilitators, connect families for one-on-one peer support, educate healthcare providers, and fund scholarships for professional caregivers. Most importantly, your support helps provide burial and cremation assistance to families so that they don't have to worry about the financial burden during a difficult time.

This event—and the comfort it brings—would not be possible without you. Your presence sends a powerful message: that grief matters, that love endures, and that no one has to walk this path alone.

With Much Gratitude,

Jennifer Cretella-Brown

Executive Director

If you or someone you know would still like to contribute to your team, there is still time! The donation link will remain open until October 31.

UPCOMING COMMUNITY EVENTS

For the past 9 years, the Francis Family has honored the memory of their son Nicholas through The Red Hat Event—a heartfelt holiday tradition that brings together the pregnancy and infant loss community in love and remembrance.

Named after St. Nicholas and lovingly dressed in a red Santa hat knit for his big brother, Nicholas inspired a celebration that now includes photos with Santa, festive shopping from local merchants, a generous raffle featuring Dewalt gear, and kid-friendly fun like the “Reindeer Food” station. There will also be a book signing by Santa himself! Signed books can also be mailed to you or donated to a Connecticut hospital in memory of a special baby.

Join us in spreading joy, honoring precious lives, and supporting families who grieve. All proceeds will benefit Hope After Loss.

Volunteers Wanted

Hope After Loss Support Group Facilitators

We are seeking caring, compassionate individuals to join our team as volunteer facilitators for our Hope After Loss Support Groups. As a facilitator, you’ll help create a safe, supportive space where individuals can share their grief journeys and find comfort, understanding, and connection. Ideal volunteers are good listeners, empathetic, and committed to helping others heal through community and conversation. Training and ongoing support are provided. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of those navigating loss, we’d love to hear from you. Preferably at least two years out from a loss.

Looking to Make an Impact

Hope After Loss is seeking passionate, compassionate leaders to join our Board of Directors. If you have a passion for supporting families grieving pregnancy and infant loss and want to help shape the future of our mission, we’d love to hear from you.

Make an impact. Share your voice. Help us ensure no one grieves alone.
