An alert from the US Section of the
Women's International League for Peace and Freedom
Commemorate the Poor People's Campaign with branded T-shirts and buttons!
We hope you’ll join us on June 18, in person in DC or in viewing parties across the country. This is a generationally transformative moment, and we in WILPF are an integral part of making into reality the change we must have!

You can help promote the PPC by wearing our WILPF-designed buttons and T-shirts. These honor our participation in the June 18, 2022, mass assembly of poor and low-wage people in DC.

Place Your Orders Now
Our 2 1/4” buttons have the logo shown above. Every branch contact will automatically receive five buttons to share with members. You or your branch may order additional buttons as needed, at no cost to you. Please place your order for additional buttons by contacting Linda Peerson at lapeerson@gmail.com, or at 515-333-3105.

And Shirts!
The T-shirts have the same logo as the buttons. We have only four dozen of them, so place your order quickly! The T’s are V-neck, short-sleeved, sizes small through 2X large, and available in charcoal heather or royal blue heather. (Medium size shirts are available only in charcoal heather.)

Give Linda your order by emailing her at lapeerson@gmail.com. (Please let Linda know if you are willing to take the other color, should your size be unavailable in your chosen color.) Then, for payment by credit card, complete this form. If you wish to pay by check, place the order with Linda and mail your check to WILPF US at POB 13075 Des Moines, IA 50310.

We are able to order additional shirts, if needed, but they will not be available prior to June 18.

“WILPF for PPC” is important!
With the PPC, poor and low-income people are building power, to shift the nation's priorities. Our presence in DC – and our promotion through viewing parties – is a vital contribution to that declaration of power.

WILPF and the PPC are calling out the military-industrial complex. It is intimately tied both to the lack of resources for people here and to our current war actions in Ukraine and elsewhere.

WILPF stands for peace, so we must stand up for justice.
If you can join us in person in Washington, DC, sign up at this link.  The Campaign offers funding to help pay for bus vouchers for those in need, available by contacting the PPC in your state. WILPF is offering a scholarship for expenses related to travel; learn more and apply by contacting both Jan Corderman at jancorderman@msn.com and Judy Adams at wilpf.peninsula.paloalto@gmail.com

If you can’t join in a rally, you can invite friends to a COVID-safe viewing party, streaming the rally which begins at 9 AM ET with music and continuing until about 3 pm ET. Connect with the livestream on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/anewppc or at https://www.poorpeoplescampaign.org/june18/ .

Start conversations and spread the word by wearing your button or T-shirt!
