AHHHHHH December my favorite month. Not because of the holidays but because I finish up my yearly shows and know that I do not start them again till mid April. That allows me to work directly from home till then 😊 I had a FANTASTIC year all around and I'll talk more about that in the Personal Year [seasons] in the Spiritual column below. I do this every year so that those who want to set their goals under the correct energy can. Now 2023, my five Personal Year season, and based upon the fact I worked INCREDIBLE hard for the first four seasons [2019 to 2022] I guaranteed myself an AWESOME year of things taking care of themselves. And they did 😊
I left off last month leaving for Grande Prairie and once again a fantastic show with DRY roads there and back. Hotel was upgraded for FREE!! And here is the funny part. On my drive up to Grande Prairie I had decided that once I got to my hotel I would pay extra for an upgrade since it was my last show, and the year was FANTASTIC, except for two shows that I now have dropped. Getting to the check in I was then informed I had been upgraded to a suite for free. 😊
Once home I rested all day after I had unpacked the van and all I did was watch Suits on Netflix to the very end. I wrote about this show in last months newsletter. Sent out the MP3 recordings and chilled as I said.
Now I always arrange my life with rest and relaxation in December as I wake up with a massive smile and know I have the long leisurely days ahead of me to do as I darn well please 😊 I still book clients at my home office but do so on the days I wish to work 😊 AND!! As the Universe never disappoints when you put effort into life, I had another busy month to end 2023.
December 4th warranted another day of rest BUT!!! I really go out of my way to enjoy December and make a pact to watch the cheesy Hallmark movies and anything else that I wish to watch. So, after getting groceries that day I settled in and watched Family Switch which stars Jennifer Garner. I quite enjoyed it 😊
NOW!! Those who know me know I hate shopping and so when I need something first I make a list. Then I go right to what I need and purchase it. I never deter from the point of what I am going to get. On the 5th I went to get my sons’ Christmas gift of collective hockey cards. He has boxes and boxes of them and does not open them. Meaning they go up in value when they remain unopened. Across the street from the store is Cactus and I whipped over and bought a gift certificate for my granddaughter’s boyfriend who sadly did not come up this year. His parents were sad last year without him so this year he stayed back with them [They all live in Vancouver] Then I settled down and watched the movie A Fantastic Christmas.
Reads started up on the 6th and then after doing the work I sat down and watched Selling Sunset that I have to say is getting worse and worse. I enjoyed the first few seasons but the last two? YUK!! BORING!! Then onto The Amazing Race as I LOVE that show and have watched it for many many years. I so want to go to Thailand and especially after watching these Amazing Race episodes.
AND!!! On the 7th one of my students from my magic classes and tarot on Zoom came into Alberta to visit her sister. They drove all the way to my house and had readings first. Then the three of us headed down to Padmanadi’s [the vegan restaurant] where we met up with another two buddies and enjoyed a lovely meal. Home and then they rented my suite for the night. They left on Friday morning the 8th and sadly I had already booked two reads that day before I knew they would be staying overnight. I say sadly as I had wanted to prepare a vegan breakfast for them British style. But we had coffee instead and off they went, and I got ready for my two clients.
Back to yoga on the 9th and a day of rest where my choice of movies were Office Christmas Party and Leave the World Behind. An interesting movie that Leave the World Behind was. If you have Netflix give it a watch 😊
Ahhh yes, a full resting day on the 10th with John Wicks 4 being watched. Oh, and I do other stuff too like putting dishes in the dishwasher, taking care of China as always, meditation and more 😊 BUT!! With a lovely peaceful energy as there is nothing to think about business wise. All is calm all is peaceful 😊
AND!! On the 11th I braved West Edmonton Mall. I chose Monday hoping it would be quieter and it was 😊 I finished up the Christmas shopping and stopped at Home Depot and purchased enough bird seed to take me through the winter for the birds who eat at the feeder every day. Then to the liquor store to grab Baileys [vegan] and Baileys full cream for the g ’kids plus black sambuca. I always buy my wine at the Grande Prairie show from Shady. They have sweet and all different colored wines. I purchased 10 bottles, and I had another 3 at home that I bought earlier. The wine and liquor being for the Christmas dinner that I host on Boxing Day. Movie for this day was Holidate 😊
Massive read on the 12th then settling down to the movie of the day Lovehard 😊
The 13th brought one more read and does not look like any movie was watched so I most likely was catching up on recorded stuff 😊 But know I still sat in rest mode😊 The 14th brought a ritual order from my webstore that was activated by me, and the movie of the day was The Night Before with Seth Rogan.
The 15th brought me back to yoga and three movies were watched that day. Holiday in the Wild [a real tearjerker] Who Killed Santa [ the most lamest thing I have ever watched] and Single All the Way. 😊
AND!!! I really wanted to check out the artistic show that so many vendors had told me about that is on ONE Saturday only for three weeks in December. I do not do one day shows [too much work to set up and tear down] but I really wanted to go there. Up early and off I head to The Enjoy Center in St Alberta. HOLY COW!! I get there and there are TONS of people, TONS of cars trying to find a parking spot and I am included in this line looking for parking. I drove slowly around the massive building then back out to the lower road and back up the hill to the overflow parking. NOTHING!! Not one spot opened up and I have little patience for that. The show will wait till next year I said to myself and off I drove back home with a wasted hour or so under my day. Back out to yoga at Noon and then back home to meet my friend who came over at 3pm and we drove down to Padmanadi again 😊 to meet up with my psychic friend Janice who works with me [I wrote about her last month] and her hubby Stuart. This time we had booked a table for four for the Christmas Buffet that Padmanadi’s hosts every year. Therefore, a time limit of ninety minutes is put upon the table to eat. And the time flew by. Got home with my buddy around 6.30pm and proceeded to make tea. The she left and I watched my daily promised to myself movie 😊 Love at Frist Sight.
AND!! On the 17th because my yoga class offers livestream on some of the yoga classes I decided to stay home and do a class here. I LOVED it. I set up my Nuga Best heated tourmaline mat and put my yoga mat on top of it. Then I set my monitor up and followed along with the class. Some of the classes do not offer live steam but the ones that do appear to be the Yin Yoga and those are the classes I take 😊
Phone read all booked and paid for, but she forgot to call but later emailed with an apology and I rescheduled her.
NOW!! Knowing that I am setting a goal of staying home and taking care of my house starting in January and other than business I am not going to spend any personal money unless it is needed food [and I doubt that LOL] or raw meat for China nothing will get spent I headed down to the spice shop. The Silk Road on Whyte Avenue here in Edmonton. They import the BEST and freshest spices on the planet 😊 To cook tasty meals takes high quality spices and I always advise people to stock up once a year for new spices. I bought 15 bottles of their spices. They also create different spices to make up ones that taste spectacular on my vegan foods like soy curls or mushrooms when I wish to make a fried dish or other lovely tasty dishes. 😊 Then I headed to Blush Lane that is also on Whyte Avenue for my organic coffee. I drink ONE cup a day and never more. Why? I like the taste. One bag of 340 grams lasts me three weeks. I bought 9 bags and received a 10% discount. While I was there, I noticed that they stocked the plant-based sushi. I had seen this on a vegan site that I order from occasionally in Vancouver. But I had never ordered these. I grabbed 4 of them and I have to say they were OK but nothing I would create a WHOOPEE YO YO from as I tasted them LOL.. No, I would not buy them again as I make better sushi 😊 And onwards home to watch Bodyguard that I truly enjoyed. Now I have heard from many people that Breaking Bad was an excellent series. So, I decided to watch it. I watched the entire Episode One and I cannot for the life of me figure out why anyone thinks it is good. I found it lame, hard to watch and I only kept watching based upon what I had heard. I finally gave up after the first episode of all the series of the most ridiculous decisions from a science teacher deciding to make drugs and hook up with an idiot who rats on him and then he still goes out of his way to work with him. Such a dumb plot was my thought. Anyway, each to their own choosing when it comes to movies. 😊
The 19th I wrapped up almost all of my groceries and to my HORROR my vegan butter that I had stocked up on many months ago when I told everyone to stock up on food was DOUBLED in cost. I had finished up my 10 packs that freeze well and went to stock up again. Now this butter normally goes for $5.99 to $6.99 and it was $10.29. I kid you not. I was stunned. I bought two instead of stocking up. It is time to start making my own butter at home. The movies for this day were A Christmas Prince and Holiday in the Vineyard.
The 20th brought my rescheduled phone read and one more in person read in the evening. No movies that day as I caught up on more of the recorded stuff.
AND!! Recall last month where I had a house party with too many guests for me to read so I asked my buddy Janice to help. She is my long-time friend who worked many Fringes and other shows with me and then went onto weddings etc. WELL! She contacts me and asks if I am busy on the 21st. The winter Solstice. No, I am not. Do I want to do a house part with her out at Alberta beach? Yes I do and so that day I picked her up at 4.15pm and we headed out to a very enjoyable crowd of people who held this party at a restaurant. A nice toasty warm restaurant 😊 Then I drove her home and curled up in my nice warm bed and relaxed with China 😊
The 22nd I filled a large order from my web store and did a full Numerology chart via MP3 and sent it off. The I whipped out to yoga. AND!!! Lol I realised that I still needed coconut milk and flour for some recipes at Christmas, so I quickly went over to Save On Foods where to my absolute HORROR the place was packed with people and the line ups were down the aisles. If I had not needed this food badly, I would have left. BUT!! As the Angels are always looking over me, I quickly went to the flour aisle and the coconut milk aisle and grabbed those items. Came back to the HORRENDOUS line ups and made my way to the one ’15 items or less’’ and that too had a MASSIVE amount of people standing in it. BUT!! Then I see the open cash that has a sign ‘cash only’ and NO ONE was in it LOL. I kid you not. Unbeknownst to me the debit/credit/merchant machines had stopped working thus the LONG line ups of people just standing there unable to pay and get their HUGE number of groceries they had just shopped for. Delighted that I use cash I dropped my items on the runner, paid and left with a MASSIVE grin 😊 When machines own your cash you have no rights to it. Think about this. Start bringing cash back.
And my movie for that day was A Christmas Prince Wedding PLUS A Christmas Prince Baby 😊
Now the month still kept opening up bookings for me 😊 The 23rd brought one read in person and my movie for that day was Christmas Inheritance. AND!! Lastly the reads stopped on the 24th with one of my largest packages. Because I had booked her for 1pm without looking at my yoga schedule I did yoga online from Noon to 12.45 😊 Love the option of online. Then knowing my g ‘kids and son were coming on Christmas Day for stockings I made a yellow pea soup from the dried beans and vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with a buttercream icing. And my movie for the 24th Christmas Eve was Christmas Calendar. A bit of magic in that movie 😊
And that brings me to Christmas Day: Son and my g ‘kids arrived and we opened the stockings and my LARGE [I kid you not] gift was placed under the Yuca tree with all the other gifts that get opened on Boxing day when I host the meal. I know what it is 😊 I asked for the Vitamix food grinder thingy that takes the left-over food and makes it into compost for the garden. OK I’ll explain it later as today, right now is 11 am Boxing Day and I am planning what to do. Yoga??? Possible. Update: 😊 I did it from livestream that they send out 😊
Groceries Lol yes, knowing that I am hoping to stay home as much as possible and just work around the home I bought what is needed plus of course Christmas food. NOW!! I rarely rave about vegan meat just because there is now so much of it BUT!!! I ordered from vegansupply[.ca] a filet mignon PLUS a roast that I turned into a beef wellington for myself at my Christmas dinner. It is a new company in the USA but this Canadian vegan store supplier [all over Canada] imports it and there was an offer sent out. The company name is Juicy Marble if you wish to google it for suppliers and MAMA MIA holy toledo Lol it was FANTASTIC. I ordered the two items at the cost of $113.00 with delivery and it came promptly. The filet mignon had two so that was two meals and the beef wellington I made created 7 meals. [7 slices] Unbelievable how delicious it was. Next I bought coconut milk, flour, vegan sushi, coffee, bananas, dishwasher pods, puff pastry, kids meal for Xmas, impossible burger, orange juice, mandarins, pie shell as I did not feel like making pastry, white garbage bags, firm tofu, fresh garlic plus a jar of garlic, 6lb onions, 3 baking sodas, large bottle vinegar [my cleaning products 😊 ] Braggs seasoning, celery, parsley, 2 vegan butter, 20 apples, green onions, frozen corn and peas, [for dinner] kraft dressing for Caesar salad for the kids, tons of mushrooms, panko bread crumbs, icing sugar, 18 lbs of lemons, [for my green juice] 4 soy creamer, 3 nextmilk, romaine lettuce, dried white navy beans, 10 cucumbers and 5lb potatoes. Lastly I went down to The Silk Road as I mentioned for spices and bought tarragon-shallot, winter stewing blend, rustic roasting blend, mustard seeds, cumin, maple smoke salmon rub, Baltimore bay line seasoning, barbeque belt chicken and rib rub [for my sons stocking] black truffle salt, hickory smoked sea salt, black cumin, wasabi powder, oregano Mexican, turmeric, poultry stuffing blend, Greek seasoning, dill pollen and lastly, sweet paprika Spanish smoked. The spices alone came to $184.82 but are so worth it to cook with. The balance of the other groceries came to including my vegan meat came to $709.86. So now I have TONS of food I am hoping not to have to buy much more in the next two months maybe longer 😊
26th: Before I forget, dinner went superbly for the grandkids, two of their friends, my grandsons significant other and my son. Food was prepared for them, and I made the ‘beef’ wellington for myself. Liquor was drunk by almost all. My son does not drink, and the drivers drank sparingly, and one car was left in my driveway as I was insistent my granddaughter should not drive as I felt she had too much to drink. She thanked me by text later. 😊 I relaxed after they left around 9pm and watched Old Dads as my choice of movie. My son talked about it and there is no use trying to watch a movie with seven people as everyone talks 😊 I always watch TV alone as I like to hear the plot 😊
AND!! As I near my Personal Season Six as I write about below in the Spiritual Column my home is already screaming at me to fix things LOL!! The massage chair broke down. It just stopped working. The chair is under warranty BUT I had to pay for the pickup to have it taken to Calgary where the only place to fix it under warranty exists. These are things not told to you by the salesperson. Anyway, I am waiting to see what is wrong with it before I pay that bill and it appears it may be $1000 [one thousand] to have it brought down and back. NOW!! I am told that repairs take two to three weeks. So, it looks like I may not have it back before the end of January. It is less than two years old, and I cannot believe it stopped working. It is not like anyone sits in it for hours and hours. It might be used about 5-6 hours per week.
NEXT!! Day before Xmas my main blind stopped working [same room as the massage chair is in LOL] It is a remote-controlled Hunter Douglas that looks like the motor stopped working. Just like the smaller blind did one year ago this time. And even though today [27th December] websites say they are open NONE are. So, I will have to wait till next week to get a repair person. My door handle on the lower patio door also stopped working and finally I got that changed. So, all is well there and as I always say, “the more material things you own the more you will have to fix them at some point”. BUT!! I will not install Hunter Douglas again. I am installing bedroom blinds in April and will choose another brand that offers remote control 😊 More on that when it happens.
I think that is it. My RELAXING ‘because I deserve it month of December’ is coming to an end. I will smudge my home at New Year and settle in for my winter sabbatical. BUT!! The home will be cleaned from head to toe, carpets cleaned by me, office arranged, and all papers no longer needed destroyed and so much more. Business will be tended to for the booking of the shows with payment. Believe me there are tons of things to get done and I am never bored. Meditation and China go without saying 😊 plus yoga as I pay monthly for it with a contract. 😊
SO!! 😊 it is the 28th today I am now going to wrap up the ‘Chat’ area since I now have bookings for tomorrow and moving into the New Year, I already have three days of January booked. Thank You Angels 😊 Oh yes, my two movies I watched last night were Princess Switch Part Two and then I said what the heck lets watch Part Three as well 😊
And now I wish you all a FANTASTIC New Year as we head into a LEAP year. Yup, 2024 is a leap year. Do sit down on January 1st and think about your intentions for 2024. Base them upon your own ‘season’ [see below] and know that the energy you project surrounds you.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE 😊
