-- Weekly Promos - Snow Day Bundle --

Good Morning

First, big thank you to our dedicated staff. Brad and Connor, farm route drivers, were up early and battling the traffic and weather to get in today. They are in for a long one. My road was blocked this morning for hours with cars in the ditch. And my farm is on a major state route. Many of our suppliers live on county and township roads, so the box trucks will be going extra slow today to get the fresh veggies.

Sometimes, the best option is even a short walk. In the case of Mose (broccoli) and Andy (carrots), I expect Brad will hike it to their homes and they will bring the order out with horse and wagon to transfer to the truck!

This too shall pass though...or melt. But it looks like we have a cold delivery week ahead for us. Our staff will be at the usual spots during the usual times. Give them slack if they are hiding in the truck for a while waiting on customers!

Picture Above - Today - Those are the beef this morning. They in theory have 2 days left of grass at one of the farms I rent a few miles away. Then they'll go to the barnyard for hay. This group of 17 steers is really close to finishing. Despite the 4 inches of snow, the foot tall orchard grass beneath the snow is still fresh and tasty. The alfalfa, seen poking above the snow, is dead at this point but still has nutritional value to the beef. They were eager for me to move the hot wire and let them in for a cold bite.

Happy first snow day.

We recognize that the bag each week isn't the ideal portion for all families. Sometimes there isn't enough of the meat for a family of 4, but just right for our customers who are just a household of 2.

So each week, the meats featured in the bag are at 10% off.

Marchant Manor Cheeses

Cow Blue and Guernsey Triple Cremes

We are very fortunate to have amazing artisan cheeses made right here! One in particular is difficult for us to sell in the summer at the back of the truck due to it's delicate nature and perishability. Those are the fresh cheeses of Marchant Manor.

Kandice's cheeses are very special to us as they are made with our A2 Guernsey Milk. The golden color shines thru, particularly in the bloomy rinds.

This week, we have 4 offerings ready amaze you:

Brighton Blue - a creamy blue cheese, aged 60 days and perfectly balanced between creamy and sharp. Great on a burger, as a snack, or crumbled over a salad.

Elmstead Ash - her original bloomy rind cheese made as a "triple creme," meaning that the milk is enhanced with the cream of two additional milkings. This decadent cheese practically melts at room temperature. It features a traditional dusting of ash, which helps in dropping the pH and adding a unique tang to the product.

Henley - a small, barrel shaped cow milk triple creme featuring the unique "geotrichium" enzyme that produces the unique brain-like waves on the surface.

Peppercorn Lapworth - a traditional whole milk camembert style made with a layer of black peppercorns for a slight bite.
