Due to the expectation of inclement weather on Monday and the potential necessity of closing municipal offices – the Town Tax Office and Village Finance Office will be open for limited hours tomorrow, Saturday, January 30 from 10 am to 1 pm.
Both the 2nd Half School Tax and 1st Half Village Tax payments are due by January 31, but because January 31 is a Sunday, we are permitted to accept payments without penalty on the next business day which is Monday, February 1, 2021. Please be aware that even if the weather is severe and the office must be closed on Monday, February 1, unfortunately, we cannot extend the deadline for payment without penalty.
Please be reminded of the many ways to make tax payments before the deadline:
-
At a dedicated mail slot in the Ossining Post Office Lobby (Open 24/7) - You must place a stamp on your envelope.
-
At any other mailbox - Please recognize that if you choose to mail your payment, we can only accept a payment as timely if it has a postmark made by the United States Postal Service (USPS) dated on or before 2/1/2021.
-
Online - visit www.townofossining.com or www.villageofossining.org for more information - This is an easy and economical way (it costs $1.50 for an e-check) to have instant proof that the payment was received, subject to collection (your bank deducting out of your account.)
-
At the Ossining Municipal Building LOBBY at 16 Croton Avenue during the hours of 9am-2:30pm Monday through Friday, and 10am-1pm on Saturday, January 30 only, unless closed due to inclement weather.
