As we approach the 249th year since the Declaration of Independence was established, we find ourselves at a crucial time in our nation's history. The parallel of serious divisions facing us today are as unsettling as the looming clouds of civil unrest of Mark Twain's day. The strength of President Trump's leadership in restoring our country to peace and power in ways mirrors President Lincoln's governing of American in 1860. In thanksgiving for God's protection and guidance of each leader, let us pray:

Almighty God, we lift our arms in gratitude to You for the guidance of Your mighty power in leading our nation back to being the beacon of hope she has been since her founding. With Your help, those ideals of strength will prevail. We lay these petitions for the future of America at the foot of Your throne, In Jesus's Name we pray. Amen
