The beginning of this school year has been nothing short of remarkable for our young learners! The students at our three locations are abuzz with curiosity, enthusiasm, and an eagerness to learn, setting the perfect tone for what lies ahead.

One of the cornerstones of our approach this year has been the implementation of Conscious Discipline—an approach that focuses on creating a safe, connected, and respectful environment for both students and educators. Through this technique, our young learners not only gain valuable social and emotional skills, but also build the foundation for a lifetime of meaningful relationships and effective communication.

One of the highlights of these early days has been witnessing our students eagerly make new friends. The joy on their faces as they connect, share stories, and explore common interests is a testament to the vibrant sense of community that Fun Time Academy nurtures. We believe that these early interactions lay the groundwork for preparing children for kindergarten.

As part of our commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, we also emphasized the importance of "Getting to Know You" activities, which help our students discover the unique qualities that make each individual special. By celebrating our differences and understanding each other's strengths, we create an environment where every child feels valued and respected.

None of this would be possible without the incredible involvement and support that we receive from you. We are grateful for the privilege of nurturing and guiding each child's growth.

As we move forward into the new school year, I am confident that the enthusiasm and positivity we have experienced in these initial weeks will continue to flourish. Together, we will provide our young learners with a nurturing and empowering educational journey that will shape their futures in profound ways.

Here's to a fantastic year of growth, discovery, and endless possibilities!

With warm regards,
Jessica
First Day of School
On the first day of school at Fun Time Early Childhood Academy, our three centers embraced the start of the 2023-2024 school year with our unwavering commitment to providing top-notch early childhood education.

Starting school can be a bit scary for preschoolers, but not here at Fun Time Academy! As we welcomed our children back, their faces lit up with excitement as they explored their new classroom, met their wonderful teachers, and made new friends. Both students and parents felt the warm and inviting atmosphere of the school as they entered.

This year is particularly special for Fun Time Early Childhood Academy, as we've expanded our services in collaboration with Collier County Public Schools. This exciting partnership allows us to offer high-quality, affordable education to even more children, reinforcing our dedication to nurturing young minds and providing them with a solid foundation for a bright future.
Family Involvement: Super Science, Chemistry Class!
We are absolutely passionate about fostering strong family connections, and actively involving our parents in their children's educational journeys. Most recently, we had an incredible time with Mr. Glen and Mr. Peter from Super Science treated us to an awe-inspiring chemistry showcase that left everyone amazed!

During their visit, we explored the enchanting world of science, from the intricate beauty of snowflakes to the playful wonder of slime, the mesmerizing dance of bubbles, and even a gravity-defying balloon experiment. It was an adventure in learning like no other, and we were thrilled to see the joy and wonder in both our parents' and our young learners' eyes.

Our dedication to such engaging experiences is rooted in our deep understanding of the profound impact that strong parent-child bonds have on a child's development. We believe that by creating moments like these, we not only nurture a love for learning but also strengthen the connections that matter most – those between parents and their children. It's all about the magic of learning together and cherishing these moments that will last a lifetime. 🌟
Character Development: Confidence & Hard Working
This month, children became familiar with their physical classrooms, their teachers, and their classmates. The children quickly develop an awareness of classroom rules and routines.

Almost immediately, they understood that belonging meant being a part of the group. They recognize ways to make new friends and understand that people in a classroom care for and help each other.

Lastly, children began to identify and understand the different emotions that people were feeling around them.
Meet the Teacher
In preschool, supporting learning at home is crucial for parents. When parents stay informed about their children's activities in preschool or childcare, they can bridge the gap between school and home.

This connection plays a vital role in the children's development, and fosters continued learning. Family involvement doesn't just expand education beyond the classroom; it enriches the children's experiences and boosts their performance in school.

A parent-teacher conference provides an excellent chance to:
  1. Share academic advancements and development, drawing on classroom observations, test results, assessments, and assignments.
  2. Gain insights from parents or guardians to improve our understanding of students' strengths, requirements, behaviors, and learning preferences.
  3. Employ deliberate enrichment and intervention techniques to aid student learning.
  4. Address any challenges that might be hindering students' learning and progress.

Reading Volunteers Needed
We all know that early education is a key factor in preparing children for kindergarten. Reading to children contributes to the growth of their verbal skills while giving them the opportunity to bond with a caring adult.

We need volunteers to read books with preschool-aged children once a week to further their learning experiences. Everything is provided for volunteers (ELLM Bags, with books, props, lesson plan and other materials). Our children love interacting with our volunteers, who help them read stories, complete academic activities and even head outside to our garden.

Please consider getting involved. Contact us to schedule a tour or visit our website to learn more.
