CHCA By-Laws Amendment - Voting held at Annual Meeting

The CHCA Board proposes changes to the names of certain Standing Committees and the corresponding description of their purpose to better reflect the Association's priorities in improving the quality of life for neighborhood residents.

The new Standing Committees would be

  • Membership
  • Communications
  • Events
  • Schools
  • Neighborhood Well-Being

We encourage Association members to read the details using the links below.

The Amendment affects only Article VII - Committees. The text in red shows the new language.

You may read our full By-laws using the link above. The text in red once again shows the proposed new language.

The Amendment clarifies that Standing Committees may have Co-Chairs, a practice we have used for many years. This makes it easier to share the work of planning events and promoting community initiatives.

The Board is unanimous in its support for the changes, and we hope that you as Association members will vote in favor at our Annual Meeting on May 14.

Dekalb Water Rate Assistance Program (WRAP)

The Water Rate Assistance Program (WRAP) helps eligible low-income households in DeKalb County manage their water and sewer bills. As water rates increase to support critical infrastructure improvements, WRAP ensures that clean, safe water remains affordable for families who need it most.

The Urban League of Greater Atlanta has been engaged by DeKalb County to serve as the customer advocate for this initiative and to establish and operate the Office of Water & Sewer Customer Advocacy.
