Get Ready for Opening Weekend at the New Cedar Park Library

The City of Cedar Park is thrilled to announce the opening of the new Cedar Park Public Library on November 1 at 425 South Parkwest Drive, Cedar Park! As we prepare to welcome the community to this state-of-the-art facility, we have a few important reminders to ensure your experience is enjoyable and smooth.

Please be prepared for long lines and traffic congestion if you plan to come this weekend. Opening weekend coincides with the Farmers Market, which will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A new traffic light at Aster Street and Bell Blvd. has been activated to assist with traffic flow, and the Police Department and flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic on Friday and Saturday. Please be a good neighbor and avoid parking in nearby neighborhoods or adjacent business parking. Also, be on the lookout for mobile messaging boards along Bell Blvd.

Free Shuttle Service Image

To avoid heavy traffic, consider using the shuttle service, which will run from the old library location Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

It's also important to note that the park behind the library is still under construction. Please respect all barriers and do not enter restricted areas.

The Community Affairs Department will actively post updates on social media on Friday and Saturday to keep you informed about line statuses and other relevant information.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we celebrate this significant milestone. For more details and updates, visit www.cedarparktexas.gov/Library.

We can't wait for you to experience the new Cedar Park Public Library!

New Library Parking Map

As part of this exciting development, we are also introducing a comprehensive parking map to help visitors navigate the area easily.

The new Library, located in the heart of the Bell District, will feature ample parking spaces to accommodate the expected influx of visitors

  • The parking map provides clear directions to all available parking lots, street parking, and adjacent event parking in the vicinity.
  • To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend arriving early, especially during peak hours, as parking may be limited.

A shuttle service will be available from the old library to the new site on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for those who prefer not to drive.

  • This service is designed to alleviate parking congestion and provide a convenient alternative for visitors.
