VALLEY CITIES IS SHARING THE WARMTH
Millions of children and adults across our country, struggle to stay warm each year. In partnership with Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle/King County, Valley Cities was provided with more than 50 new and gently used coats. Valley Cities will be distributing these coats to clients in need at our Outpatient and Inpatient facilities.

We are grateful for partners like St. Vincent de Paul who continuously make a positive impact in the community.
SNOWSTORM DEDICATION- ESSENTIAL WORKERS
Snow days mean sledding and building snowmen, watching movies, and staying cozy inside for many people, but operations must go on at Valley Cities’ Residential Facilities. Staff across both Residential sites showed incredible teamwork and dedication. “I’ll be coming in,” Alice Ronnie, Medical Assistant at Recovery Place Seattle (RPS), emailed after her co-worker, Reta Aitulagi, Unit Coordinator, offered to pick her up. Jerome Walters, RPS Program Manager, personally picked up staff who could not drive in. “Made it to work,” reported Aristotle Viray, Medical Assistant from RPS echoed, “Thanks, Jerome, for the ride.” Jerome credited his Intensive Inpatient Program staff, stating, “Kevin, Reta and Zahara were real troopers during this.

KEEPING YOU SAFE DURING THE PANDEMIC
Its been over a year fighting the pandemic, and fatigue is kicking in for many people. They are letting their guard down and hoping to get back to a sense of normalcy. However, the pandemic has not ended, and we must continue to practice social distancing, hand washing, and MASK UP!

With an abundance of masks available, Valley Cities is committed to safely distributing face masks to all our clinics across King County and any community partners in need.

Thank you Boomer Naturals for the masks and allowing us to keep our clients and staff safe!

MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT and COMMUNITY HEALTH (MATCH)
The Medication-Assisted Treatment and Community Health (MATCH) program quickly and easily provides medication to people with opioid-based substance use disorders, such as heroin or oxycodone users. Call us today to get support, at (253) 833-7444.

Last year, the first Sublocade injection in MATCH's and Valley Cities' history was administered. This medication has the potential to have a tremendous impact for clients who are stable on suboxone and ready to take the next step in moving away from a daily medication or slowly tapering off.
What is Sublocade?
Sublocade is a monthly injection that delivers the equivalent of about 2 strips (16mgs) of buprenorphine daily. It continuously releases the buprenorphine all month, with no ups and downs or possibilities of missing a dose. Like suboxone, it also blocks the rewarding effects of opioids, which are the "pleasurable feelings" that can make someone want to use.
