Floridians for Democracy and Mount Olive A.M.E. Church are hosting the RALLY OF HOPE
A landmark civic gathering in Fort Myers.
Open to all and livestreamed anywhere.
The date is not chosen lightly. One day after the 63rd anniversary of the March on Washington, we will gather on the same moral ground that Dr. King and hundreds of thousands of Americans once claimed — not in nostalgia, but in continuation. The work they began is unfinished. The determination demonstrated is required of us now.
The RALLY OF HOPE is not a protest. It is a revival — of hope, solidarity, and shared civic responsibility. Born from a cross-partisan coalition of neighbors, veterans, retirees, and faith communities, this gathering is open to all who believe that democracy must be actively defended.
We wish for our gathering to:
- Unite across races, faiths, generations and political traditions.
- Equip attendees with practical steps to defend democratic participation.
- Drive voter registration and commitment to the elections ahead.
- Respond to this moment not with anger, but with action and purpose.
Florida — and our nation — stand at crossroads, politically, spiritually, and morally. The institutions, rights, and norms that generations fought to secure deserve our active defense. We will not be silent. Nor will we surrender hope to cynicism or solidarity to division.
Join us — in person or from anywhere in the nation.
Thousands are expected to gather in person or participate virtually.
Inspiring Hope. Committing to Vote.
"The time is always right to do what is right." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
