December 30!

It's been foggy here in Philadelphia, until today - the day before the day before the new year. Metaphorically, we got the message; as 2026 approaches, things can seem a bit unclear.

But, not so in this, our semi-annual direct email request for your support.

Clarity and brevity, asking for help.

If you've already given to our End of Year Campaign, thank you. We love affirmation!

If you haven't, consider this an invitation to join our amazing community helping us to record, tour, commission, present, raise artists' fees, provide staff benefits, and think big thoughts about the stories we can tell through ensemble singing. († See below if you've got time for what we're up to!.)

It takes a lot of dollars to put all this together. Well over one million of them, in fact. Your gift of some of those dollars will help us chip away at that number. (We'd rather ask questions about our world than ask repetitively for support to make those questions possible.)

Less fog, more clarity.

Kinder tomorrow, more empathetic 2026.

More singing, less yelling.

Thank you for considering us in your Year-End Giving.

Join us, with thanks,

Donald

We exit 2025 with an offering of a work we will reprise in December 2026; David Lang's the little match girl passion, which takes place "on the last day of the old year." Here, the ninth movement, "have mercy my god," recorded in concert in December 2019.

Have mercy, my God.

Look here, my God.

See my tears. See my tears fall.

Have mercy, my God. Have mercy.

My eyes are crying.

My heart is crying, my God.

See my tears fall.

See my tears fall, my God.

† Having already premiered four new works this season, we've got seven more to go; appearances at Carnegie Hall, Big Ears Festival (Knoxville), Greenville (South Carolina), Stanford University, and our Mann Center debut reuniting with The Philadelphia Orchestra; a film to make (debuting next Fall at the Fabric Museum and Workshop); five works to record; collaborations with ArtPhilly for our Month of Moderns; collaborations with Artcinia, bringing our music to under-served neighborhoods; two album releases; and, and, and...grateful!
