Momentum continues to build behind the Building an Affordable California Act, a statewide effort aimed at addressing California’s housing affordability crisis and streamlining the path toward more housing development across the state.
BOMA California is proud to have endorsed and financially supported the signature gathering effort for this important initiative, and we extend our sincere appreciation to the California Chamber of Commerce and the California Building Industry Association for their outstanding leadership in spearheading this coalition effort.
This week, the coalition announced that more than 100 organizations have formally joined in support of the initiative, including the California Hospital Association, California Council for Affordable Housing, American Clean Power, CA/HI NAACP, and CalChamber. The growing and diverse coalition underscores the broad recognition that California must take meaningful action to address housing affordability and barriers to development.
