We are so incredibly thankful to those who attended South Central LAMP's 30th Anniversary Celebration “Thriving at Thirty” this past Saturday. The Celebration was filled with inspiring speeches by our honorees Northgate Gonzalez Markets and Nancee Lee-Allen, and touching stories by alumna mother Alicia Fuentes. It was heartening to see so many come together to recognize the vital role that South Central LAMP plays in our community, and to underscore the importance of ensuring a bright and nurturing future for the families in South Central Los Angeles.
 
It was evident that everyone in attendance shared our vision, where our mothers and children are provided with the love, care, and opportunities they deserve. Your presence underscored this shared commitment, and for that, I am truly grateful. I would also like to express my appreciation for any Teacher Wish List Items or donations you made during the event. Your generosity will go a long way in supporting our programs and initiatives that empower women and improve the lives of children in our community. Any donations made during the event, or after, go towards our $15,000 matching gift challenge.

Once again, thank you for "Thriving at Thirty" with us, and for your unwavering support of South Central LAMP. We look forward to continuing this journey together for another thirty years, as we make a positive impact on the lives of women and children in our community.

Available for Purchase!
During our 30th Anniversary Celebration, we highlighted Wish List with items that would be helpful for our teachers and the children in their classrooms. The wish lists were a huge hit, and we have a few items still available!

From easy-clean mats for our Infant Room; to a dress-up center for the Toddlers; to a giant treehouse for our Pre-K Room; to draw and write journals for our EXPL Afterschool Program; and Spa Boxes for our Mothers in our Adult Program, there's something for all our classrooms still available on our Teacher Wish Lists!
South Central LAMP Honors Los Angeles Mayor, Karen Bass
South Central LAMP honored, along with Northgate Gonzalez Markets and Nance Lee-Allen, Los Angeles Mayor, Karen Bass. Mayor Bass was unable to attend our 30th Anniversary Celebration, so our Executive Director, Diana Pinto, headed to City Hall to present the Mayor with the first ever Crusader Award.
30th Anniversary Video Premiere
We are thrilled to share our newest video in celebration of South Central LAMP's 30th Anniversary. Created by filmmaker Mario Torres Torres, and featuring many South Central LAMP teachers, staff and Board Members, the video tells the story of how our founding orders came together in 1992 to form South Central LAMP.

We are truly proud of how far we have come over the past 30 years. Through the help of our past and present teachers, staff, Board and Committee members, founding orders, foundations, corporations and partners, we are truly Thriving at Thirty!
