CRCSD Happenings
Students' Best Friend: Meet Eco, a CRCSD Therapy Dog

“If there’s a student that needs to come to the office, or they need a break from the classroom, I go and take Eco a lot of times because they'd rather go with Eco than any other adult in the building."

Eco is a professional therapy/assistance dog at Roosevelt Creative Corridor Business Academy and is handled by school counselor Dr. Lisa Coyle. Watch a video and read more about Eco in the link below.
Celebrating National Nurse Practitioners Week

Cedar Rapids Community School District is grateful to have three nurse practitioners on staff—Jill Asprey, Sara Gordon, and Toni Delagardelle—who serve students at our three Metro Care Connection clinics.

"Our nurse practitioners provide high-quality expanded primary care health services while emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, health education, and counseling, and guide students to make smarter health and lifestyle choices every day. By providing expanded health services to our students, our nurse practitioners provide access to care that some students may not otherwise be afforded," says Sandy Byard, health services coordinator. "Our nurse practitioners go the extra mile each and every day and we are fortunate to have them as part of our health services team!"

Thank you for all you do! Learn more about Metro Care Connection in the link below.
Fall Sports Honors

Congratulations to the 65 students who were named all-district and Mississippi Valley Conference all-conference selections in football, cross country, and swimming and diving!
