DVAM Community Art Project:
We need your help!
Turning Point is excited to be partnering with the Columbus Area Arts Council for a community art project in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness & Prevention Month (DVAM)! The project will consist of buttons made by community members, and it will be displayed in the 411 Gallery's Community Studio for the month of October.
The goal of this collaboration is to amplify the voices of survivors and to work toward preventing domestic violence through art. This project was inspired by the piece, 33, Three Four Two, that was created as a collaboration between The Julian Center and the Indianapolis Art Center.

We need your help reaching our button goal! If you are interested in creating a button design, please contact Stephanie at stephaniec@turningpointdv.org or 812-379-5575 ext. 203

Summer Tie Dye Cookout
Shelter News
Our Shelter staff held our second annual, Tie-Dye Cookout, a few weeks ago for our current shelter residents! Our clients and staff get the chance to celebrate the beautiful weather and end of summer by tie-dying shirts, masks and canvas bags while also enjoying some yummy hamburgers, hot dogs and pork chops hot off the grill! This event is a huge hit with our residents and their children.

Children also had the chance to get creative with some sidewalk chalk this year! Their creations were amazing!
