A very happy weekend here for us all in Lunya. Marina, our fab General Manager at Lunyalita, is getting married today and the whole team could not be happier for her. We know many of you will know Marina from your visits to Lunyalita. Congratulations to Marina and her new hubby, Jake! There is a lot in this email, so here is the quick version. Christmas is coming fast and the response to our Christmas Food, Drink & Music Quizzes since we launched them last week has been superb. Christmas party bookings are filling, our Christmas canapés, gifts and treats are all online and ready to order, and it is time to get your skates on. Our ever popular Pintxos Night is less than two weeks away and we would love to see you there. There are just 3 places left for the Miguel Merino dinner and just a few for our annual Vallemayor dinner. On Thursday, we also had a spectacular Spanish Streetfood night and launched our new autumn menu at Lunyalita (more on both below).

Our legendary quizzes have been going for 15 years and are more popular than ever. This one is a night of pure hedonistic Christmas fun. You will taste food and drink and answer questions on them, then take part in a live music round with 10 Christmas classics played Flamenco style.

Shared deli platters with serrano ham and Spanish cheese with membrillo, sticky Catalan pigs in blankets, turkey and ham croquetas with cranberry dip, estofado (Catalan slow-cooked beef), deep-fried goat's cheese with honey, patatas bravas, and a dessert platter of mince pie blondies, Spanish hot chocolate and cinnamon churros (dessert is an extra £5.95 per person).

Our Christmas range is all online and everything is in limited quantity, so when it is gone, it is gone. The way to guarantee yours is simple. Order now and choose your delivery date at the checkout. We pick your stock now and keep it for you, and anything else you order at the same time arrives together on the day you choose.
Please do not leave it until December, because the best of it will be long gone. Two Rioja winemaker dinners, nearly full
Miguel Merino Winemakers Dinner
A rare night, where you will try arguably the very best Riojas there are, produced by the iconic Bodegas Miguel Merino and personally presented by Miguel himself. A small boutique winery in Briones, founded by his father, producing tiny volumes (sometimes a single barrel) and feted by every significant wine critic. Parker has given Miguel Merino incredibly high ratings.
We will present six of his very best wines, now costing a fortune, but we have worked hard to keep the price low for this level of event. Liverpool has never seen a night like it, and there are now only 3 places left on this very intimate night.

An evening with Rafa Perez, the charismatic owner of Bodegas Vallemayor in Rioja, and a superb menu from our Executive Chef, Dave Upson. Six courses of the very best of Spanish gastronomy, with Iberico meats, world class Spanish cheeses, Riojan classics and Galician pork, each paired with the Vallemayor wines and introduced by Rafa himself.
This will be a seriously good night, and places are going fast.

On Thursday we held our Spanish Streetfood night in the bar at Lunyalita and it was a cracker. Amazing food, great drinks and a room full of happy people. The highlights were the burger, the chorizo scotch eggs, the choose-your-own dirty bravas and a steak and kidney paella that had everyone talking.
If you missed it, this is exactly the sort of night we do best, and Pintxos Night on 29th October is the next one, with live Flamenco guitar thrown in.
Our new autumn menu has launched
Our new autumn menu is now live at Lunyalita on the Royal Albert Dock. New dishes include a bavette steak with a sherry and peppercorn sauce, deep-fried guindillas, and a delightful sea bass with judión beans and a seafood bisque.
And a favourite gets even better: our goat's cheese now comes with a glorious hot honey and roquito peppers at Lunyalita.
