Bloom Senior Living is thrilled to announce that Emily Schafer is returning to Bloom next Monday September 24, 2025 in a new corporate operational role as Director of Community Operations! 🌸
Emily is no stranger to Bloom—she previously served as the Executive Director of Bloom at Belfair for five years, where she successfully led our Independent Living and Memory Care community in Bluffton, SC. Under her leadership, Belfair consistently achieved:

✅ High associate satisfaction
✅ Low turnover
Beyond Bloom, Emily also brings years of progressive leadership experience from Sprenger Health Care Systems, where she served as Director of Social Services, Director of Admissions and Marketing, and Assisted Living Administrator.
In her new role, Emily will support Bloom owner Scott Kantor on operations, clinical initiatives, training, and special projects—while also partnering with Bloom’s entire ownership team (Brad Dubin, Scott Kantor & Tony Kantor) to help drive our next phase of growth and expansion. She will work closely with community teams to provide guidance, resources, and mentorship—fostering a culture of accountability, service excellence, and resident-centered care.
What makes this so exciting for Bloom is that Emily already knows our company, culture, mission, Bloom Beliefs, and operating style. She’s familiar with our local Indiana and Louisiana leadership and executive directors, embraces our technology advances, and is a true team player. Her return deepens the Bloom bench and strengthens the team we’ve built—making Bloom even stronger.
