NYC Mayor's Office Launches First-Ever Nonprofit Advisory Council

Mayor Eric Adams has just announced the creation of the Nonprofit Advisory Council, marking a historic first for New York City! This council will act as a vital link between nonprofit organizations across the five boroughs and City Hall.

With regular meetings, the council aims to address pressing challenges and opportunities within the nonprofit sector, develop innovative strategies for growth and sustainability, and advocate for policies that support nonprofit success.

We're incredibly proud and thrilled to share that Nonprofit Staten Island's Executive Director, Tatiana Arguello, has been selected as the sole representative from Staten Island to serve on this esteemed council! Thank you to the Mayor’s Office for establishing the first-ever Nonprofit Advisory Council. We are looking forward to representing Staten Island's thriving nonprofit sector.
