One My Pinnacle Network member has developed a simple habit: Whenever he meets someone for a one-on-one, he mentions that he belongs to MPN.
If the person’s business category is open in his group, he invites them to attend a meeting.
That’s it. No hard sell. No awkward recruiting pitch.
Why it works: Inviting someone to an MPN meeting gives the conversation a natural next step. Instead of exchanging pleasantries and hoping to stay in touch, you’re offering that person an opportunity to meet other professionals, expand their network and potentially generate new business.
The invitation also deepens the connection. You’re no longer simply someone they met for coffee or on Zoom. You’re the person who opened a door for them.
There’s a benefit for the group, too. Visitors bring new energy, perspectives and potential referral partners. Even if they don’t join, they may connect with a member, refer someone whose category is open or come back at another time.
The bottom line: Every one-on-one is an opportunity to grow more than one relationship. If the person would be a good fit for your MPN group—and their category is available—extend the invitation.
The worst they can say is no. The better possibility? You strengthen the relationship while introducing a valuable new member to the group.
