Every great community has a gathering place where ideas take root, connections flourish, and opportunity begins. For the Indian Valley, it is the Indian Valley Public Library.

Far more than a building lined with books, IVPL is a dynamic hub of lifelong learning, innovation, and civic engagement. It provides free access to information, knowledge, and technology for all: entrepreneurs refining business plans, residents discovering new skills or passions, and students of all types researching and learning. We offer a Library of Things (items that you may need occasionally that you don’t want to purchase) including cake pans, a metal detector, portable DVD player and inflatable screen, a Cricut machine to make all sorts of merch, and a telescope. Whether someone needs a place to meet, a quiet study spot, or expert help navigating digital resources, IVPL has what you need.

But the Library’s impact extends beyond its walls. Through outreach programs, storytimes, workshops, and partnerships with local organizations, the library actively supports literacy, workforce development, and cultural enrichment. Its staff members are educators, facilitators, and community connectors who help ensure that everyone, regardless of age or income, has the tools to succeed.

For the business community, IVPL is a powerful ally. We offer so much to help your business grow, including:

  • Meeting spaces for small business owners and nonprofit. Find availability here
  • Databases for market research
  • Access to Consumer Reports online from anywhere
  • Mango to learn languages
  • Digital editions of many newspapers
  • Marketing and networking opportunities through sponsorship of our Museum Pass program and other events.

With over 100,000 people coming through our doors last year, IVPL is one of the busiest places in the area. By supporting IVPL, local businesses invest in an educated workforce and a more vibrant, informed population. We also provide many ways for businesses to give back and stay visible, from sponsoring museum and attraction passes, to donating raffle baskets and sponsoring events and programs.

In an age of constant change, IVPL remains a steadfast foundation that is open to all, adaptable to new technologies, and dedicated to the shared growth of our community. Access to knowledge is not a luxury but a cornerstone of democracy and prosperity.

You’ll find us at 100 Church Road in Telford (near the Telford location of Landis Market). The next time you’re nearby, step inside. You’ll find more than shelves of books - you’ll find the beating heart of the Indian Valley.

Opportunity to Showcase YOUR Business!

The Chamber Showcase, a contribution-based feature that is shared via the Chamber website, emails, and social media channels. Please submit an article and photo(s) that highlights your employees, a milestone, or sharing your expertise on an industry topic. Our goal is to publish this column on a regular basis (bi-weekly or monthly, depending on the content we receive), so the more member businesses and organizations that send us material, the better.

We look forward to you participating in the project and helping us to promote you.
