THE SHORT VERSION
Lumen is reducing emphasis on legacy voice and communications products. Existing services are not shutting down immediately and remain supported until Lumen provides formal notice, but now is the time to review contracts, renewal dates, and migration options.
What is changing
- Beginning August 1, 2026, Lumen ended partner-channel support for new sales of specified legacy voice solutions.
- Installed voice services remain supported, and customers may continue using them until formal notice is issued.
-
Lumen is retiring selected legacy product SKUs and directing investment toward other services.
What this means for your organization
If your organization currently uses Lumen voice services, your service is not automatically ending on a universal date. However, product availability and future renewal options may vary by service. Organizations using the following solutions should review their current environment and contract dates before the next renewal window:
- SIP trunks
- PRI services
- Analog or specialty lines
- Voice Complete
