The friends of the Wisdom Hospice
We will be hearing from Emma Dengate, Fundraising Co-ordinator for The Friends of The Wisdom Hospice.
The charity is dedicated to supporting the work of the Wisdom Hospice, providing specialised end of life care and support to local people, their families, friends and carers whether at home, in the hospice or hospital. It's all about the patients and helping the hospice team to care for them and their families.
Emma will be telling us about the work the charity does to support The Wisdom Hospice and ensure that those facing life-limiting illness get the help they so desperately need. They need to raise more than £2,000 a day that is £720,000 a year towards The Wisdom Hospice's running costs. Whilst they are funded partly by the NHS, with every new day they are facing increasing pressure to achieve these targets.
