Maintenance Updates
South Island Public Service District (SIPSD) Infrastructure Repairs

  • SIPSD will be making infrastructure repairs in proximity to #54 Governors Road, Tuesday, April 23 and Wednesday, April 24. Hours of operations between 8:30 AM-4:30 PM. 
  • Work will consist of excavation in the roadway, infrastructure repair and asphalt paving once repairs are complete.
  • There will be single lane road closures, flagmen will be present, some minor traffic delays are expected in the work area.
Construction Activity along Greenwood Drive

  • There will be construction activity along Greenwood Drive between Lake Forest and Carolina Place, Wednesday to Friday, April 24-26. 
  • Work hours will be 7 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Our contractor will be installing conduit pipes.
  • No traffic delays are expected. 
  • Crews will be working alongside the roadway, so please drive with caution.
Baynard Park Road Pedestrian Railing/Platform Replacement Project

  • CSA Maintenance Department will be executing the replacement of existing pedestrian railings at two locations on Baynard Park Road.
  • The pedestrian railings will be constructed using 6 x 6 timber posts with horizontal ¼ inch stainless steel cables and will be (42”) forty two inches in height.
  • The railing has a small platform for fishing and is a designated Sea Pines fishing location. 
  • Work is scheduled to begin week of April 29th.
  • No traffic delays are anticipated and we ask you to please use caution in the work area.

Deer Island Bridge

  • The Maintenance Department will be staining the Deer Island Bridge this week (weather permitting).
  • Wood trim will also be installed on the bridge to make it more ascetically appealing.
  • Please use caution when traveling in this area.
