February Chamber Luncheon
January Chamber Luncheon Recap
Thank you to everyone who attended our Tourism Luncheon on January 31st! We had around 30 attendees. Tracey McBride, DoV Tourism & Community Development Manager discussed the 5 pillars of tourism—cultural, environmental, social, community building and economics and then gave people time to brainstorm around 4 key areas for Vanderhoof.

She emphasized that partnerships are key, investment is key and that community pride and local “Tourism Champions” can help bring about a full recovery of the tourist industry.  Developing local experiences, particularly with indigenous/cultural focal points are also key components of a tourism strategy.

Mr. Craig Hooper also shared some history with us and spoke about his vision for the Vanderhoof Tourism Cultural Centre specifically.
