AFFINITY LEADERS SERVE AS FACULTY FOR PADONA LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT COURSE

Last week, several Affinity team members served as faculty for the Pennsylvania Association of Directors of Nursing Administration (PADONA) Leadership Development Course.

Senior Clinical Consultant Michele Conner led a session entitled, “Review of Federal Regulations Related to Care Plans and Information to Ensure Person Centered Care Plans,” and VP of Business Development and Consulting Tammy Lucas-Coleman presented, “Quality Measures and the Five Star Quality Rating System.” In addition, Affinity EVP of Business Development and Consulting and PADONA President/CEO Candace McMullen presented three courses: “Legal Aspects in Long Term Care,”  “High Risk Regulatory Areas,” and “Financial Management in Long Term Care Facilities.”

PADONA’s Leadership Development Course provides 25 Nursing Continuing Professional Development (RN) contact hours and is one of the requirements for the certification exam for the Certified Nursing Director Long Term Care (CNDLTC) certification.

AFFINITY RNS AND RNACS NOW CERTIFIED IN MULTIPLE STATES

Exciting news! Several of Affinity’s Clinical Consultants now have multi-state nursing licenses under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), which allows nurses to practice in multiple states without having to obtain additional licenses. The NLC was implemented to improve access to care while maintaining public protection at the state level. The multi-state license expands Affinity’s territory for services like interim RNAC or clinical consulting, and allows us to provide better service to our clients across the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.
