First Light Prayer

"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed." Mark 1:35

The church will be open every Friday morning, from 7:00am- 8:30am for anyone who desires some time of quiet prayer with the living God. No agenda- just sitting at His feet in worship and seeking stillness before the Lord.

Trunk or Treat is THIS SUNDAY!

October 18th

6:00-8:00pm

(Set up at 5pm)

Our next monthly gathering as a church family will be on October 18th for our community outreach “Trunk or Treat.”

This is a wonderful opportunity to show our neighbors (who might be intimidated by church) that we are a welcoming place and are here for them.

Please mark your calendars, start brainstorming trunk/costume ideas, invite your friends, and stock up on bags of candy as you can.

We need your help! Our goal this year is to have over 50 cars! We're not even half way there! Please prayerfully consider committing to this incredible opportunity to love our neighbors.

If you are stumped or intimidated with trunk decorating- please see Debbie for ideas and assistance.

As you are planning your costumes and decorations please be mindful of keeping it fun, family friendly and honoring to the Lord. Please avoid anything spooky, scary, gory, or un-God like in nature.

We will need volunteers for this event!

For- our food tent, our prayer tent, and candy runners.

Parents of Prodigals will be meeting Sunday, October 18th

Parents of Prodigals is a prayer group that meets after service to support and partner with parents or family members that have loved ones that have wandered from the Lord, or do not yet know the Lord.

Every third Sunday following service, we invite you to join the parents of prodigals.

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

Join us for another prayer gathering Sunday, October 25th at 6pm

*we're meeting the 4th Sunday of this month

This will be a time of personal and cooperate prayer, crying out for God to awaken His people and to be glorified. For His Kingdom to come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Revival starts in us, the church!

Wednesday, October 28th @ 7pm

Let's wrap up our Women's Bible Study until the new year with good food, lots of laughs, sweet fellowship, and celebrating the love of Jesus!

We're having a potluck, so bring your favorite soup or chicken salad- no large amount needed! Just bring what you can and come ready to enjoy some time together.

And ladies, you do NOT have to have attended Bible Study before to come! Whether you've been with us all along or this is your very first time, you are welcome here! Come be part of what God is growing right here in our Women's Ministry here at GCF.

Give Thanks by Giving Back

Through our partnership with Pinellas County Schools, we're putting together Thanksgiving meals for families who could use a little extra love this season. Our goal is to provide a complete Thanksgiving Dinner- from the turkey to the pie and remind each family that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.

Every item donated, every gift card purchased, and every meal provided is a simple way to put the love of Christ into action.

Together, we can give thanks by giving back, because being the church isn't just about gathering together- it's about loving our neighbors, meeting needs, and sharing the goodness of God right where He has planted us.

There are several ways to give, please see the table set up on the West side of the sanctuary for more details and instructions. For more information please see Debbie Robinson or Lin Leland.

All food items must be brought in ON November 15th ONLY. No food item may be brought in before or after November 15th. Please see Debbie for other arrangements if needed.

We're excited to announce that GCF will be partnering with

Samaritan's Purse through Operation Christmas Child!

This is a wonderful ministry where we fill shoeboxes with small gifts, school supplies, and personal care items that are then sent to children all over the world. Each box becomes a tangible expression of God's love, opening the door for the Gospel to be shared with children and their families.

This is more than just a box of toys- it's an opportunity to bless a child, show them the love of Christ, and be part of God's mission to the nations. We invite everyone in our church family to take part in packing a shoebox and helping us spread joy and hope this Christmas season.

More details on how to participate will be shared in the coming weeks- so be prayerful, get ready, and let's join together in this beautiful ministry.

Wednesdays at GCF

Beginning THIS Wednesday, October 7th, we will be starting a new Men's Bible series focused on Abiding in Christ.

There is no greater doctrine to be learned and no greater experience to be had, than abiding in Christ and enjoying union with Him. We are about to dive deep into some of the most precious words ever spoken by Christ. For believers who are in Christ, Jesus' metaphor of The True Vine & The Branches is where doctrine of "Union with Christ" comes alive- becoming not just a way of explaining things but a reality to be experienced. We pray "May we experience it- in ALL its power!"

Know His Name, Know Him More

Ladies, our NEW Women's Bible Study begins September 2nd @ 7pm. We would love for you to join us! We'll be diving into the Lifeway Study: Names of God- discovering who God reveals Himself to be and how knowing His names can draw us into a deeper, more personal relationship with Him.
