Federal Funding for Public Media

The Trump Administration has escalated efforts to defund the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), the entity that disburses federal funding to national and local public media stations. In addition to an Executive Order directing CPB to cease all federal funds to NPR and PBS, there is a pending recissions package that would cancel two years' worth of funding already appropriated by Congress. This would be devastating to the public media landscape, including local stations like KOSU, Public Radio Tulsa and KGOU.

We don't know what will happen with federal funding, but we do know that our best protection is financial support from our listeners. Donations from individuals like you combine to generate our largest and most stable source of funding. Please consider joining this powerful collective with a contribution and help us build a firewall against defunding efforts.
