CCHS Mission: Grounded in community, Charlotte Catholic High School forms virtuous servant leaders, united in Christ, through a Catholic education of the mind, body, and soul. | | A Letter From the Head of School | | |
Dear CCHS Parents, Alumni, and Friends:
The start of the second semester has certainly been a cold one! I want to share my sincere gratitude to everyone, especially our teachers, for the way they managed back-to-back winter storm closures. Decisions to close school are never easy, as they affect both the academic and athletic calendars, and I appreciate the patience, flexibility, and focus our community has shown as we’ve worked together to get everything back on track.
Even with the winter weather, there is great momentum at Charlotte Catholic. We recently announced the appointment of our next president, Mr. Michael Seeley, who will assume his role on July 1, 2026. I am honored to return to my former role as principal and remain closely connected to the wonderful Charlotte Catholic community that means so much to me.
In addition, we have officially launched our capital campaign, Grounded in Tradition, Focused on the Future. This important effort will allow us to transform key areas of our campus and elevate the experience for every student - both now and for generations of Cougars to come.
I am deeply grateful for the continued support each of you provides through your time, talent, and treasure. Your commitment strengthens our mission and helps ensure that Charlotte Catholic remains a place where students grow academically, spiritually, and personally.
Prayerfully yours,

Daughters of the American Revolution Recognition Breakfast
Junior history students recently created videos highlighting figures connected to the American Revolution and submitted them to the Daughters of the American Revolution’s America 250 Video Contest. Foundation representatives were so impressed with the submissions that they hosted a special breakfast at CCHS to recognize the participating students and present certificates. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their research, creativity, and connection to our nation’s history.

STEAM Day
On Friday, January 30, the Science National Honor Society welcomed 16 STEAM professionals to campus for a hands-on career fair in the library. Students explored fields ranging from medicine and construction to engineering and technology, asking questions and participating in interactive demonstrations. Led by science teacher Karen Belciglio, SNHS students organized the event to help their peers learn more about the many opportunities available in STEAM careers.

Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week was filled with faith, fun, and community. Students gathered for an all-school Mass, followed by a brunch honoring our dedicated volunteers.
Students also heard from seminarians and religious sisters about faith-centered vocations.
We were grateful to celebrate Vocation Day with seminarians Matthew Sie (CCHS Class of 2019) and Pierre Westhoff from St. Joseph’s College Seminary in Belmont, along with the Daughters of the Virgin Mother including, Sr. Philomena, Sr. Mary Elizabeth, and Sr. Mary Jacinta. Throughout the day, they visited Theology classes and spent time in the halls between classes, sharing their stories and engaging with students about discerning God’s call.
| | The week concluded with the always-anticipated faculty vs. student basketball game, where the teachers claimed victory, and the bragging rights that came with it. | |

Congratulations to the CCHS Men's Rugby for Winning the State Championship
Charlotte Catholic Rugby continues to build an impressive legacy both on and off the field. After a remarkable turnaround in 2025, the team reached new heights this season - going undefeated, traveling across the country and defeating the #1 nationally ranked team from Cathedral Catholic in San Diego, winning the state championship, and earning a #1 national ranking! With a thriving feeder program at Holy Trinity, and growing participation, the future is bright. Head coach Jason Zehmke shares, “I refuse to believe our kids cannot achieve great things. The secret is structure, fun, brotherhood, and belief - from coaches, players, and parents. We are building a legacy.”
