Honoree Spotlight on

The Conway Family

Mom, Ally | Dad, Michael | Clarke Student, Greyson | Brother, Gage

When Greyson Conway failed his newborn hearing screening, Ally and Michael stepped into the unknown.

At just two months old, Greyson was diagnosed with mild to moderate sensorineural hearing loss. Like so many parents, they didn’t know what the future would look like. But they knew one thing: they would do everything they could to help their son thrive.

That journey led them to Clarke.

Greyson started at Clarke at age three. Today, nearly three and a half years later, his growth is nothing short of remarkable. What began with just a few words has grown into what his mom Ally describes as a dictionary for a vocabulary.

But the impact goes far beyond words.

At Clarke, Greyson has found a place where he is understood, supported, and celebrated. He has learned to advocate for himself, connect with others, and use his voice. And alongside him, his parents and his twin brother, Gage, have found guidance, strength, and hope.

To families just beginning this journey, Ally offers this:

You are not alone. What feels overwhelming today will become familiar. Take it one step at a time, trust the process, and know there is so much support and possibility ahead.

Join us for Cocktails with Clarke Massachusetts where we’ll honor families like the Conways and celebrate stories like theirs that show what’s possible.

Clarke teaches children who are deaf or hard of hearing to listen and talk. Since our founding in 1867, we have prepared children to succeed in mainstream schools and the wider world, evolving to meet the needs of children and families today. Our teachers of the deaf, audiologists, and speech-language pathologists partner with families to help their infants, toddlers, and school-age children develop listening and spoken language (LSL) skills to maximize their learning. Our programs and services support nearly 1,000 children and their families annually, through a wide range of offerings at our multiple locations, in mainstream classrooms, and through our virtual services.
